Cattleya, the ITV Studios-backed Italian producer behind Gomorrah, is launching Spanish subsidiary Cattleya Producciones and has hired Netflix’s Arturo Díaz as managing director. The company will be ITV Studios’ first scripted producer in Spain. Díaz was a director of local language originals at Netflix, working on shows including Las Chicas de Cable, the streamer’s longest-running non-u.S. series. Cattleya Producciones will be overseen by Cattleya founder and co-ceo Riccardo Tozzi, alongside his co-CEOs Giovanni Stabilini and Marco Chimenz. ITV and Amazon have released the first images of Kate Beckinsale thriller The Widow.
The UK broadcaster and international streaming service are set to air the eight-episode drama from The Missing writers Harry and Jack Williams this spring. The series is produced by the Williams’ All3Media-backed Two Brothers Pictures.
Filming took place in South Africa, Wales and Rotterdam in the drama, which sees the The Only Boy Living in New York star play Georgia Wells, who has cut herself off from her previous life and is no longer the woman she once was. After seeing her “late” husband on the news, she is pulled back to face the world and will stop at nothing until she gets the truth about her past. Described as an emotional, gut-wrenching thriller, The Widow will take Georgia into the depths of the African Congo where danger and revelation will greet her at every turn.

21 year old Eleanor Tomlinson (represented by Conway Van Gelder Grant) is set to play Demelza opposite Aidan Turner in the new BBC adaptation of the 18th Century saga set in Cornwall, Poldark.
Eleanor, who has been acting since her early teens was in teen comedy Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging, and went on to star opposite Nicholas Hoult in Jack The Giant Slayer. She's recently been seen in two BBC period dramas - The White Queen and Death Comes to Pemberley.
She said of the role:
"I am very excited to have been asked to play Demelza in the BBC’s new adaptation of these classic novels. I am conscious of the fact that the original series had a huge following and was tremendously popular, all I can promise is that I will do my utmost to do justice to the spirit of Winston Graham’s iconic character."
