ControversyLahari Music had drawn Rakshit Shetty’s home banner Paramvah Studios and music composer Ajaneesh Loknath to court for copyright violation in 2016.Tnm StaffRepresentativeImageOriginality is the main component in any form of creative work, which lets the creator stand apart from others. While one can be inspired by other creative works, the line is thin and the creator can be in trouble with copyright infringement rules. The most recent example is the popular song from Kantara – ‘Varaha Roopam’ – composed by Ajneesh Loknath. The ‘Varaha roopam’ song has glaring similarities with ‘Navarasam’ song from a Kerala based music band Thaikkudam Bridge. The music band has also announced that it would be filing a lawsuit against the creative team of Kantara. In the backdrop of the controversy Tnm looks at similar allegations of music copyright violations cases in India and the end result in each of these cases. Saregama Vs Eros International...

We begin with a couple of backwoods alligator hunters, as you do. When they return to their camp after shooting yet another gator, they find No. 1 Stevie Nicks fangirl Misty Day dressed like Britney Spears in the “Boys” video. To the tune of guitar riffs from “Edge of Seventeen,” Misty uses her powers of “resurgence” and her formidable eyelashes to bring the gators back to life and sic them on their murderers. Maybe she’s born with it; maybe it’s necromancy. Roll credits and their Santino Rice fashion show. Kathy Bates’s name appears next to a picture of a black cat that I swear I just saw taped up in a window at Cvs.We’re greeted with the same Loreena McKennitt–inspired music we heard the entire last episode. (New theory: It’s Sarah Paulson’s breathing exercises for getting into character.) Like Kate Bush, Cordelia is...

Entrepreneur and former Facebook president Sean Parker is now a married man.
Parker and singer-songwriter Alexandra Lenas were married Saturday (June 1) in Big Sur, Calif., in a ceremony said to have cost up to $9 million. Parker can afford it: His net worth is estimated at $2 billion.
Lenas wore an Elie Saab gown, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ngila Dickson ("The Lord of the Rings") designed outfits for Parker and the entire guest list of 300 -- although Parker tweeted a couple months back that it wasn't a theme wedding. "Just because we don't trust our guests to dress themselves properly doesn't mean we want them to look like #GoT characters," he wrote at the time.
The reception featured musical performances by Loreena McKennitt and The Good, The Bad and The Ginger. He also had a team of builders construct backdrops for the wedding, which combined with the flowers and plants he brought in totaled more than $1 million.

Los Angeles -- Toronto rapper Drake finally won his first Grammy Award on Sunday afternoon, while the rest of the Canadian field was shut out at an untelevised ceremony where the bulk of the prizes were handed out ahead of the evening gala.
Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and Skrillex won three Grammys each while Jay-z, Kanye West, Esperanza Spalding, Gotye and Chick Corea all won two awards apiece at a three-hour ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in which 70 Grammys were distributed before the splashy TV broadcast.
Drake has been nominated a total of 12 times, and in 10 of those instances, he wound up losing to one of Jay-z, West or Eminem (in fact, the Jay-z/West combo beat him out in two of his nominated categories on Sunday too).
But the 26-year-old born Aubrey Graham didn't have any of those hip hop titans to contend with in the best rap album category,...
