Ariana Madix is going from making headlines to starring in a Lifetime thriller inspired by them.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star, who became a household name after being cheated on by her longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval in an sordid affair dubbed “the Scandoval,” will play a cop named Karen who aids star and executive producer Meagan Good’s character after her teen daughter is trafficked.
The logline for the film reads: “When Dana (Good) and Curtis’ (Roger Cross) 16-year-old daughter, Alicia (Faith Wright), sneaks out of the house to attend a party, a bout with teenage rebellion quickly escalates into a widespread search party spearheaded by Dana and the police. After almost a year of searching for her missing daughter, mother’s intuition leads Dana to the salacious world of online escort ads where, to her horror, she finds her Alicia listed for sale. No one was safe when “The Bad Seed Returns” premiered on Lifetime last fall. To celebrate the success of the anticipated sequel to Rob Lowe‘s Lifetime original film “The Bad Seed,” check out our special 40-minute “Making of” roundtable discussion with star Mckenna Grace, who developed the story and co-wrote the script with her father Ross Burge. Grace also executive produced the film alongside her parents, Ross and Crystal Burge, with multiple-Emmy nominated producer Mark Wolper also returning to executive produce alongside writer Barbara Marshall, who also co-wrote the film. Together they are joined by Gold Derby senior editor Rob Licuria for a memorable Q&a about their highlights, key scenes and goosebump moments.

When you're making a horror film that features a gimmick about a person or a deadly object, it seems almost inevitable that the concept of your idea is bound to draw comparisons from the greats. "Wish Upon" asks if you took the concepts of "Hellraiser" and "The Monkey's Paw," but entrusted the power to a high school girl. By all means, that sounds like a fun concept for a horror movie, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
In "Wish Upon," Joey King's Clare is your typical high school outcast. She's gifted a Chinese music box by her dumpster-diving father (Ryan Phillippe), initially unaware of its powers. After making an offhand comment about wanting a bully of hers to rot, the bully shows up to school the next day looking like she had. It's soon revealed that the box holds seven wishes for whoever comes across it, but...

Actress Julia Roberts spent time with prostitutes who were paid $35 each to talk to her before filming Pretty Woman. Barbara Marshall, a former nurse and the widow of the movie's director, Garry Marshall, has opened up on how she was volunteering at a free clinic here in 1989 when she got a call from her spouse, reports New York Post newspaper's Page Six column.
She said: "Garry would never visit me at the clinic, because he was a hypochondriac and afraid of getting a disease. But he asked if Julia could come and talk to some of the patients."
"I recruited two young women who came to the clinic regularly, and I paid them $35 each to meet with Julia. I went back to work, and about 20 minutes later, Julia yelled from the end of the hall, 'Bye, Barbara. We're going to take a drive. We'll be back later.'"

How cool is this?! On Thursday, Aug. 2, Julia Roberts attended a special performance of Pretty Woman: The Musical on Broadway in NYC that honored the life of Garry Marshall, the Pretty Woman movie's director. For the event, Julia also paid homage to the late filmmaker — who sadly died in 2016 from pneumonia — by donning a Laverne & Shirley t-shirt, as the beloved 1970s series was also a show that Garry helped create. In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Julia said that she will always be grateful for everything that Garry taught her throughout her career. "Enough could not be said of my relationship with Garry Marshall and what that's done for me as a person, just having the confidence to be funny, and goofy, and find that side of creativity," she shared. "I've never thought twice when Garry asked me to do something." (Photo Credit: Getty Images) At the Pretty Woman event,...
