Like Christina Aguilera executing a run during a contestant’s rehearsal package, or Blake Shelton spiking the comedic volleyball in Adam Levine’s face (over and over again), The Voice‘s Alisan Porter is pretty much perfect.

And Monday night, as she detonated a vocal bomb shaped like Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold,” she seemingly left a barren wasteland (think Mad Max: Fury Road, without any cast members) where the Season 10 competition used to be.

After launching his career as a teen Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling and Christina Aguilera, Tony Lucca has enjoyed a steady, incredibly prolific music career. With nearly two decades of experience in the music industry under his belt, Lucca is releasing his first self-titled album. Tony Lucca, on Jan. 27. His decision to make his 10th full-length studio album a self-titled one was no accident: This is "honestly, creatively, just such a fresh start" for Lucca, he tells People. "This music is as much 'me' as anything I've ever put out," he explains,...

It was the best of mentors, it was the worst of injustices for The Voice‘s final set of Season 7 Knockout Rounds.
On one hand: Can we get a “hip-hip hurrah!” to celebrate the keen insight and serious commitment displayed by megastar Taylor Swift as the Knockouts mentor for all four teams? You might want to shake, shake, shake the sound of her latest, crazy-ubiquitous hit single from your eardrums, but you’ve got to admit a future Voice cycle anchored by her and Pharrell Williams might be the only way Blake Shelton will ever get to take a season off.

With only two weeks to go until Shakira and Usher rejoin Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in those swiveling red chairs of power, we’ve got an exclusive video from the set of The Voice’s sixth season. Carson Daly sat down with the four coaches — on red couches, no less — to discuss everything from the phenomenon of Lorde and what that means for young females to how they continue to help contestants from previous seasons.
Shelton reveals the contestants he helped get a record deal, while Levine talks about signing Tony Lucca to his own label. As for Usher?...

Ideally, singing competitions like NBC’s The Voice offer undiscovered contestants the chance to become almost famous. But in season 5, which began on Monday, we’re seeing contestants who are already famous.
During last night’s blind auditions, E.G. Daily — the voice of Rugrats’ Tommy Pickles, a sometime movie actress (Pee-wee’s Big Adventure), and a singer with a top 10 hit (1987′s “Mind Over Matter”) — competed for a second chance at a music career. And during Monday’s premiere, host Carson Daly told Briana Cuoco, actress Kaley Cuoco’s sister, that she will get to audition in an upcoming episode.

The third track on one of my favorite rock records of the last decade, Okkervil River’s The Stage Names, is called “A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene.” Without context, its lyric is a bit of a tough nut to crack. Will Sheff sings about events unfolding on a TV screen in the first verse, recaps a dream in the second, and seems to outline the narrator’s innermost wishes in the third. What’s not immediately apparent is that the first verse outlines scenes from two completely different TV shows – scenes that happened to be scored by Okkervil River songs. The first half of the verse refers to “It Ends With a Fall” (from Down the River of Golden Dreams) and its use on the reality series Breaking Bonaduce. (I don’t have that clip handy.) The second half, and probably the more illustrative of the two in any case,...

And then there were three! After two huge eliminations, the final three were revealed on ‘The Voice’ — and two coaches were left heartbroken!
With the talent in The Voice‘s final five, we knew it would be hard to see any of them head home — especially after those stellar performances on June 10. Unfortunately, after one of the most intense eliminations yet, it was narrowed down to three. So, who made it into the final three?
Old Faces Return To ‘The Voice’
We loved when Voice alumna Cassadee Pope hit the stage on June 3. So, of course it was great to see Terry McDermott, Tony Lucca and Nicholas David all return to perform.
But they weren’t the only ones who rocked the stage on June 11. Fall Out Boy performed their hit “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)”!
Final 3 Revealed
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all fun and games.

Well, "Voice" fans -- we're near the end. The live Season 4 semi-finals have come to an end, taking two artists from the Top 5 with them. With the Top 3 revealed, the stage has been set for an intense final next week.
The first finalist saved, earning a spot in the finale, is Michelle Chamuel, while the second saved is Danielle Bradbery. The last person saved, entering the Top 3, is The Swon Brothers, meaning both Sasha Allen and Amber Carrington are heading home.
With that, both Adam Levine and Shakira are out of the competition, with no artists left to spur on. So, Season 4 comes down to defending champion coach Blake Shelton and newbie Usher. Do Usher and Michelle stand a chance against Blake and his country brigade? Next week will be a nail-biter.
Did the right three artists make it into the Top 3, "Voice" fans? Or are you disappointed over Sasha and Amber's losses?...

"The Voice" finalists have been revealed. But first, some sad news: Team Adam's Amber Carrington and Team Shakira's Sasha Allen were eliminated.
Team Usher's fan favorite Michelle Chamuel was the first to advance to "The Voice" finals, followed by Team Blake's Danielle Bradbery and Team Blake's The Swon Brothers, who will fight to be the "Voice" Season 4 champion next week.
Just before the last "Voice" finalist was announced, Amber left her coach Adam with these thoughts: "Thank you for being the one button push that's changed my entire life. I love you. Thank you so much." And earlier in the evening, Sasha, who called "The Voice" "the experience of a lifetime," said, "[Moving on] would just mean the world to me. It would mean the world to [my children], I'm sure ... I just want doors to open so I that I can open doors for my kids"

New York — Maroon 5 says they're working on a new album, but before that the pop-rockers will launch a summer tour that finds the fivesome playing outdoors.
The Grammy-winning band announced Monday that they will headline the 2013 Honda Civic Tour, which kicks off Aug. 1 in St. Louis and will feature Kelly Clarkson.
"I think the live outdoor kind of summer vibe is always different than the indoor arena tour because there's less emphasis on production and more on live music," frontman Adam Levine said in an interview. "It's kind of the purist form of a tour `cause there's not too many bells and whistles."
The 31-date tour wraps Oct. 5 in San Diego.
Levine says he and his bandmates are riding high off the success of last year's "Overexposed," their fourth album that has achieved platinum status. It features the popular hits "Payphone," "One More Time" and "Daylight."

The Voice's Tony Lucca has revealed that he might collaborate on new music with Justin Timberlake. Lucca - who finished as second runner-up on The Voice - famously starred with Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling in the Mickey Mouse Club in the 1990s. He recently signed a record deal with former mentor Adam Levine's 222 Records and has now hinted to Billboard that Timberlake may feature on his upcoming LP. "[We] have been constantly flirting with sitting down and working together," Lucca teased. He continued: "Trying to tie that guy down is like hitting a moving target, but I'd love to hear what we could do if we got together." Timberlake has largely refrained from recording music in the last few years, with the star recently saying (more)...

It would have been difficult to imagine at the start of Season Three of The Voice that somehow Trevin Hunte wouldn't be the last he-diva standing, but when the time came last night for Hunte to peace out from the semi-finals, it wasn't much of a surprise. His backstory and tough road to self-confidence played well, but even with his immense pipes, he lacked a little spark. Into the final rounds go Cassadee Pope, Nicholas David and Terry McDermott, or Cass, Nick and Ter as host Carson Daly calls them.

"The Voice" Top 3 were revealed on Tuesday night. Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope of Team Blake are moving on along with Team Cee Lo's Nicholas David.
Another member of Team Cee Lo, Trevin Hunte, was eliminated.
Cassadee and Terry kicked off the performances of the night with a duet of the Of Monsters and Men hit "Little Talks," while Trevin and Nicholas performed the last song of the night. The final two members of Team Cee Lo sang Mariah Carey's classic ballad "Hero" just before Trevin was eliminated.
Three "Voice" alumni also took the stage on Tuesday night. Former Team Cee Lo member Juliet Simms performed her single "Wild Child," looking more like Ashlee Simpson than ever and seemingly inspired by Miley Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed" music video. Country singer RaeLynn, a former member of Team Blake, also performed her new single "Boyfriend," with her signature flower in her hair.

I'm going to start this week off by sending bittersweet farewells to two of my favorite contestants this season. Melanie Martinez and Amanda Brown are both unique, bold, entertaining artists. I can't help but feel America really got it wrong this week. But things turn around quickly: Adam offered Melanie a record deal on the spot. And I can surely attest, Amanda, if you just hang in there and keep trying, good things will most definitely come your way.
These are my favorite performances last week:
Nicholas David-Over the Rainbow
It's a good thing Nicholas sang this song second. Cee Lo assigned September to him first and I was certain Nicholas was going home. Then he sang this little diddy straight from the land of Oz. He was personally connected to this song and it showed.
Trevin Hunte-Walking on Sunshine

If you follow social media coverage of "The Voice," a significant amount of commenters remark not on the quality of the music, but on the state of Christina Aguilera's body. Her weight has certainly fluctuated over the years, and has incited plenty of media scrutiny. Now, her fellow "Voice" coach Adam Levine is jumping to her defense.
They may occasionally butt heads on screen, but at a recent Q&A in NYC, Levine had her back. "People shouldn't say those kinds of things because, f--k you. It's like, come on guys, grow up," he said when asked about people's obsession with Aguilera's curves.
"The one thing about the culture right now--celebrity culture particularly--that is so ugly is [that] people feel like they can just say nasty things about other people...she gets a lot of it," he continues. "It pisses me off. Of course I have her back, of course I defend her.

The X Factor has been ranking in the ratings with the help of Britney Spears, but that doesn't mean we've forgotten all about our favorite four mentors on The Voice. Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will be stepping down next season while Shakira and Usher come to replace, but that doesn't mean it isn't too soon to head down memory lane already. The Voice has seen some great moments since its start, but here's 20 of the best Gifs Christina, Cee Lo, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have brought to the NBC series.
Why are some of these some of the greats? Well, let's see. We've got Adam everything, Cee Lo and his cat, Blake and that grin and Christina acting like she'd rather be at a Tony Lucca concert. But that's just a few Gifs. Check out the rest below!

American Idol singer Frenchie Davis. Mickey Mouse Club member Tony Lucca. The Voice has always been about giving talented singers a second chance at fame. Now, the show is giving its singers another second chance with a twist that could shake the game up in a big way: the Steal.
In the battle rounds, which kick off Monday at 8/7c on NBC, the coaches will have the opportunity to press their buttons once again — this time to steal a singer from another coach after that singer has lost their battle. "I have to say as a naturalized American, what the country is all about is second chances. And this is a second chance for people," executive producer Mark Burnett tells TVGuide.com. "When they hit those buttons and the lights come on, it's like, 'Wow!' I've been doing this long enough that I know when I see something magical happen.

The Voice's Tony Lucca has signed with his coach Adam Levine's record label. Lucca - who finished third on The Voice - revealed to Billboard that he joined 222 Records after collaborating with Levine on a version of The Beatles' 'Yesterday'. "[That] was the impetus to do the whole thing," the singer said. "We had a good time working with each other. Ironically, it was an organic relationship [after the show]. He didn't put too much stock in me not winning."
Lucca is expected to begin recording "a good dozen or so songs" later this year. He is currently on a tour of the Us, which will see him perform in St Louis, (more)...

Tony Lucca may not have won season two of The Voice, but he left quite an impression on audiences -- and coach Adam Levine. Not only did he have a special beef with his former Mickey Mouse Club co-star, Voice coach Christina Aguilera, but he also sang a memorable -- and risky -- version of Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time.” Lucca's unorthodox choices have paid off it seems because Levine has signed the singer to his own record label, 222 Records. Last night's premiere of The X Factor was brutal. And not in a bad way. I just couldn't get through it without bawling. One of the saddest moments came when an old friend of Britney Spears turned up as a contestant.
But unlike Tony Lucca and Christina Aguilera's situation on The Voice, Don Philip isn't a good singer. Like, at all. Yet, he and Britney did a duet together called "I Will Still Love You" on her first album. I remember every single lyric to that song too. How is that possible?
Nevertheless, it was a sad scene as Britney tried to be sensitive while telling him she wasn't voting for him to move on in the competition. You could tell she was pretty broken up about it too.
Check out their song together from 1999 followed by his audition last night:
Do you remember the song? What did you think about his audition?...

I was really hard on The X Factor in its first season, mostly because it was a much more overproduced and less talented version of American Idol. Those two issues will need time to receive a full assessment, but after one night the addition of a pair of great judges made for a winning season opener.
After trips to Austin, San Francisco and Providence, Simon, La, Britney and Demi saw a lot of talented singers, and as always, some that were anything but. Let's take a look at The Good, The Bad and The Judges.

Paige Thomas: A 21-year-old nursing student with an adorable little daughter, Paige wowed the judges with her version of "I'm Going Down." She was a big Britney fan because they are both hot moms, but La instead compared her to Rihanna so that he could drop that name for the first time of the season.

It was a short and sweet version of The Voice on Tuesday's second night of blind auditions. We saw only six performances during the hour, and I think I preferred that to the sometimes dragging two-hour version.
There was talk of a Harry Potter/Justin Bieber hybrid, Blake hanging championship banners in the arena and of course a couple of exciting performances during the episode. Let's take a look at how it all went down...
Team Xtina
Current Members: De'Borah, Devyn Deloera
Christina Aguilera picked up the first team member of the night, winning over 22-year-old bartender Adriana Louise after Louise won over all four of the coaches with "Domino." This was probably the most surprising event of the night, as I did not think this was all that special of a performance. The vocal sounded pretty pedestrian, and then there were some bum notes, so I'd be happy if...

Simon fuels the rivalry between Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera in a candid new statement. The battle lines between The Voice and The X Factor have officially been drawn. Simon Cowell, X Factor creator and judge, claims NBC is going against its "gentleman's agreement" with Fox by adding a third premiere night for The Voice on Sept. 12, which puts it in direct competition of The X Factor's official launch. And Simon is convinced the major move was because The Voice is worried about losing viewers, as judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are far superior to Christina Aguilera. "Britney's not going to appreciate the fact that Christina — who has been a bit of a rival — isn't allowing Britney to have a night of her own," Simon tells TMZ. "This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business." Simon believes Britney is "going to be devastated, because she's put her heart and soul into this.

As many iTunes lovers and Youtube fanatics understand, music (old and new) has become a huge factor on hit television shows and both the show and artists featured benefit from the collaboration. Ever YouTube a certain scene from your favorite show for hours on end? Did it have a catchy song that you immediately downloaded? Yes, the odds are that you have.

Television show soundtracks are an obsession over here and the music played make that specific scene that much more memorable. This is very much the case when it comes to Friday Night Lights. It all began when Tony Lucca helped introduce Dillon, Texas with his "Devil Town" hit. Along the way scenes like Landry kissing Tyra with The Avett Brothers' "If It's the Beaches" playing in the background made you want to become a Panther yourself.

Season 3 of The Voice is almost here! Forget about the performers, we can't wait for the Blake Shelton comments while Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera bash one another. Plus, we can't forget Cee Lo Green and that rented cat of his while he wears his shades indoors. Gotta love the mentors. The premiere is set for September 10 on NBC, and Ology will be with you along the way. Chatting with you the fans is a must so stick around for that one.

"The Voice" returns for Season 3 on NBC this September, marking its first time on the fall schedule.
But with only a few months between the end of last season and the start of Season 3, will Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera -- who fought endlessly throughout Season 2, mainly over Levine's contestant, Tony Lucca -- be on good terms?
In the first photo from "The Voice" Season 3 auditions in La, exclusively at Us Weekly, Levine, Aguilera, fellow coaches Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly seem to be all smiles.
"We bickered a little bit in the beginning. To be totally truthful, we had a little bit of a rough start, just kind of all getting to know each other," Levine told MTV recently. "But I love her. She's the best, and we're having a fantastic time as of late on the set. She's great, and all of that is sensationalized media Bs.

In January, "The Voice" viewers saw Christina Aguilera reunite with her old "Mickey Mouse Club" co-star, Tony Lucca -- and let's just say that by the end of the season, they weren't exactly best friends.
This fall, "The X Factor" fans will see a similar reunion when judge Britney Spears recognizes a familiar face -- Don Philip.
Die-hard Britney fans will remember Don from her first album, when Britney and Don did a duet on the song "I Will Still Love You." It was never released as a single, but it did give Don the opportunity to tour with Britney, nearly 15 years ago, before he was ultimately dropped from the Jive label.
On Sunday, Don arrived at "The X Factor" auditions in San Francisco, and according to People, Britney recognized him immediately, lighting up with a "huge smile." "I know him," Britney told fellow judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid.

Earlier this year, Christina Aguilera handled a blast from her past rather poorly on The Voice. First she didn't recognize contestant Tony Lucca and then she spent the rest of the season beating him down. But when faced with a similar situation at today's X Factor auditions, Britney Spears couldn't have reacted more differently.

If you judged Tony Lucca purely on what you saw on The Voice, you didn't get to see all of him. Oh, drama. Or should we say – Ugh, drama.
Anyone who watched "The Voice" this season could tell the tension between coaches Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine was palpable and not just for the cameras. Aguilera was easily the most outspoken judge on the panel and rarely sugar-coated her opinions, coming across as overly harsh at times. Levine opted to go in the exact opposite direction, playing the nice guy.
(Which, as MTV's resident "Voice" recapper, is not to say we think she was necessarily wrong most of the time. Indeed, it was strangely refreshing to watch a judge, you know, judge contestants, and Aguilera certainly knows a thing or two – perhaps more than any other judge on "The Voice" panel – about the technical side of singing. It was her directness and sometimes callous delivery that were controversial, not her actual opinions.)

If you kept up with the nail-biting second season of NBC’s “The Voice,” then you are already aware that Jermaine Paul was crowned this season’s winner. However, the real juicy backstory throughout the season has been the peculiar and seemingly bitter feud between Christina Aguilera and contestant Tony Lucca, who both appeared on “The Mickey Mouse Club” as kids.
It all started when Lucca first took the stage and Aguilera seemed to not recognize him.
But that was just the start. As the season continued, Aguilera became more and more critical of Lucca, specifically targeting him with particularly harsh (if not necessarily incorrect) criticism on multiple occasions. Of course, Lucca tried to be professional at first and ignore her unfavorable critiques; however, he did finally snap back, telling People, “I’m not going to let one person bring me down. Clearly that seems like part of her strategy.

Jermaine Paul might want to stop reading right now! The season two finale of The Voice was reportedly a big let down for executives of the show because they wanted Tony Lucca or Juliet Simms to win instead. "Jermaine is a lot like last year’s winner Javier Colon," a source says. "They have a lot in common." This is what's making people over at The Voice so worried! "Javier didn’t wow anyone with his post-Voice success," the source adds. "Dia Frampton did better than him and sold more records, it was disappointing for Javier. And people want a success story for the Voice winner. The execs will support him publicly,” the source says.
