Despite being married to one of the biggest names in the music industry, Beyonce has always modeled herself as a strong independent woman. On Tuesday, she took it a step further by posing as cultural icon Rosie the Riveter, who became the face of female empowerment during World War II, when women began taking on factory jobs — many of which were formerly held by men — to support military efforts.
