Berlinale 2021: Representing three different locations, commissioners and producers talked about the way local offices helped their productions during the troubling times of the pandemic. A session with film commissioners and producers was held during the European Film Market (EFM), during which they exchanged about how they each dealt with the pandemic and in what ways the film commissions helped with the productions. The first of the panels was focused on the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the measures they took during the past year and the first months of 2021 and how the commission assisted with locations for the European versions of the TV reality franchise Survivor, with the Israeli version being the next to shoot in the Philippines. The Portugal Film Commission, represented by the commissioner Manuel Claro, welcomed British producer Julian Hicks (Moviebox), who staged Tim Lewiston’s There’s Always Hope in the Algarve region, a project.
Exclusive: Principal photography is underway in the Algarve, Portugal, on writer-director Tim Lewiston’s (The Hot Potato) feature drama There’s Always Hope.

Devastated, he abandons the elegant family home in leafy Stratford Upon Avon and drives his ancient Jaguar to the family villa in Portugal where their young daughter Hope (Chinn) and her her half-sister Amelia (Brenda Meaney) try to help sort things out.

Never thought I’d see the day when formal Eternal star Louise Rednapp and Ray Winstone were in a film together let alone playing a married couple but in Hot Potato, that is exactly the case. Here’s the first trailer and images for the new movie which is being released in the UK September 10th. The film also stars Jack Huston, Colm Meaney, David Harewood, John Lynch, Lois Winstone and is directed by Tim Lewiston.
It has a Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels vibe about it which to be honest can only be a good thing. Have a watch of the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
The year is 1969, and after a government research centre explodes, Kenny (Winstone) and pal Danny (Jack Huston) obtain a potentially lethal package. But after discovering the value of the radioactive material, they rope in...

Here’s our first look at Ray Winstone’s next, The Hot Potato, a London based gangster yarn featuring Colm Meaney, Jack Huston,David Harewood Phil Davis, Derren Nesbitt, Lois Winstone, Maike Billitis, and Jean Louis Sbille.
So far we’ve seen some nice artwork for the film and the presence of Ray Winstone pretty much guarantees we’ll be on board for this one. The film is shooting now in Belgium and the UK under the direction of Tim Lewiston who also wrote the film.
Before the main course, perhaps you would care for a synopsis as an entrée?

Jack Huston is popping up all over. Who is this guy? Any relation to Angelica, Danny, John, or Walter? Well, it turns out, all of the above. Earlier this week we announced the Roadside Attractions December release of the twenty-seven year old actor's upcoming film Hemingway's Garden of Eden with Mena Suvari. Now the actor is shooting a British crime comedy with Ray Winstone and Colm Meaney called The Hot Potato, the first film directed by vet sound editor Tim Lewiston (he also wrote and produced). You might have glimpsed Huston in HBO's Boardwalk Empire (Richard Harrow) or ABC's Eastwick (an eight episode arc through 2009-2010). He turned up as a depression vampire victim in Twilight: Eclipse and had small roles in Outlander (2008) with ...

Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to Hemingway’s Garden of Eden, directed by John Irvin and starring Mena Suvari, Jack Huston, Caterina Murino, Richard E. Grant, Matthew Modine and Carmen Maura. The screenplay was adapted from the Ernest Hemingway book by former Paris Review editor James Scott Linville, and is based on Hemingway’s final novel, a jazz-age set, erotically-charged romance that was published posthumously in 1986. Hemingway’s Garden of Eden was produced for Tranquil Seas by Lorne Thyssen and Timothy J. Lewiston. The acquisition was announced by Roadside Attractions co-presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff and Ian Jessel, president of Tranquil Seas, USA.
“Ernest Hemingway is one of a handful of genius writers whose work leaps from the page to the screen brilliantly,” said Cohen, “and his Garden of Eden is lush and vibrant, in the tradition of other great Hemingway adaptations like The Sun Also Rises.
