Rajendra Krishan was born on June 6, 1919 in Jalalpur Jattan, Punjab, British India. He was a writer and composer, known for Khandan (1965), Payal Ki Jhankar (1968) and Nagin (1954). He died on September 23, 1987 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India.
He was considered as the richest writer in Hindi cinema. The reason was that he had won the jackpot worth Rs.46,00,000 in horse racing. The sum was considered as a huge amount during the late seventies.
