Danny Huston in Ivansxtc will be available on Blu-ray September 29th From Arrow Video
Danny Huston, Peter Weller and Lisa Enos star in this biting satire on the behind-the-scenes of the Hollywood film industry, with all its drink and drug-fueled excess, from director Bernard Rose.
Opening with the death of its titular protagonist, ivansxtc goes back in time to chart the final days of hot-shot Tinseltown agent Ivan Beckman (Huston) and his fast-paced, wheeler-dealer lifestyle, which will ultimately lead him to an early grave after a shock cancer diagnosis.
Loosely based on Leo Tolstoy’s celebrated 1886 novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich, and featuring a searing performance by Danny Huston at its core and wonderfully sleazy turn from Peter Weller as Ivan s biggest client, ivansxtc is a powerful meditation on life, death and morality set against the glitzy backdrop of La La Land.

Equity investment companies Pacificap Entertainment and Renaissance Millennium Pictures have each signed capital financing deals with the recently formed film finance and production outfit Outlook Films. The deals, valued at $150 million and $200 million respectively, will provide a revolving pool of investment equity for Outlook's projects during the next three years, Outlook said. The capital will be used for gap financing and matching funds for projects that Outlook co-finances with studios and will be available to cash-flow 100% of each picture's budget, according to the company. Outlook is the partnership between Francois Lesterlin and Adam Krentzman, the latter of whom was an agent for 17 years at CAA before departing the agency in February. Since that time, he has been working with Lesterlin in the launch of Outlook. The company will focus on acquiring and developing a slate of projects across multiple genres and budget ranges. With the infusion of cash, the duo are eyeing a spring start for their inaugural project.
