5 April 2013 2:19 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Have you ever pictured the White Rabbit of "Alice in Wonderland" fame as having a Pee-Wee Herman voice?

Considering that the potential "Once Upon a Time" spinoff, "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," has just cast Paul Reubens as the voice of its White Rabbit character, the Pee-Wee connection may soon become easy.

As first reported by Deadline.com, Reubens will provide the voice for the iconic character. The rabbit itself will be created using CG animation, as will many other characters in the show. Which voice Reubens -- most famous for the character, Pee-Wee Herman -- will use for the bunny is a mystery. Ralph Hemecker, a frequent director of "Once Upon a Time" episodes, is set direct the pilot from "Once" executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

"Wonderland" will, assuming the pilot moves forward, take viewers to the pre-curse fantasy world by that name. Alice (Sophie Lowe »

Barbara Hershey May Return For 'Once' Spinoff

4 April 2013 12:32 PM, PDT | AirlockAlpha.com | See recent Airlock Alpha news »

It's nothing more than a pre-pilot preview at this point, but the producers behind the proposed "Once Upon a Time" spinoff "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" are putting together a fascinating cast, and already talking about doing more. That more could very much include Barbara Hershey, the late Cora in the hit ABC series, who spent time in Wonderland. According to TV Line, the new series -- if picked up by the network -- will explore the popular Alice in Wonderland environment both pre- and post-curse. "It will be very similar to 'Once' in that there will be flashbacks of these news characters that take us to pre-curse Wonderland," series co-creator Edward Kitsis said. But that also means a look at what has happened since, including the residency of Hershey, who played a key role »

We're about to see another side of Belle on "Once Upon a Time," when the fairytale show returns after a short hiatus this spring.

In the episode titled "Lacey," we meet Belle's Storybrooke counterpart, and while details are sketchy as to how exactly this Lacey person comes about, creator Edward Kitsis teased at Paleyfest, "She's the opposite of Belle. Things are going to get a lot more interesting for Mr. Gold."

Actress Emilie de Ravin also teases that she's "Racy Lacey." Rowr. These pictures definitely back that up.

The episode description reads as follows:

Mr. Gold enlists the aid of David to help him try to jog Belle's now cursed memories and get her to love him again; and when it is revealed that the magic beans Anton (Jorge Garcia, "Lost") and the dwarves have been harvesting have begun to grow and could possibly transport everybody home, Emma is torn »

Happy Easter, everybody! Today may be the only day where you can get away with overdosing on wonderful, chocolatey things, but happily there's some equally delicious telly treats to enjoy, without guilt, over the entire week.

Yes, the next seven days sees not only the return of Game of Thrones and Jonathan Creek, but also the sure-to-be-thrilling conclusion of The Walking Dead's third season. And of course no Tube Talk rundown would be complete without a mention of the latest Doctor Who episode.

Once Upon a Time’s Wonderland Spinoff News Roundup

29 March 2013 11:00 AM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

It’s time for us to get all caught up with the news from Storybrooke – or more specifically out of  Storybrooke. The town’s all a-buzz with news of a spinoff, that now has a title: Once: Wonderland. First, let me tell you what it is not. It is not yet a series. It has a name, it has writers, and casting has begun.

It is also just now being written, and all that’s being written is, according to Deadline, a 15-20 page, four scene presentation. That doesn’t mean it isn’t going to be on ABC‘s fall schedule, it just means that it might not be, so although you may want to reserve your blog names now, maybe save your money on the upgrades for a little bit.

It also means that any or all of the information below may well be changed entirely before the show is broadcast, »

'Once Upon a Time' spin-off 'Wonderland' finds its Alice

29 March 2013 9:54 AM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Once Upon a Time" creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are in the process of shaping their mini-spin-off, "Wonderland," the tale of the Lewis Carroll land, pre-"Once"-curse. Now a big piece of the puzzle has been found -- the show's Alice.

EW reports that relative unknown Sophie Lowe has been cast in the now-titled project "Once: Wonderland" as the protagonist we all know and love from Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There."

Lowe joins Michael Socha, who has been cast as the Knave of Hearts, and Peter Gadiot, who plays Alice's love interest, Cyrus. Kitsis describes the show as not a spin-off in the traditional sense.

"[It's not] another five-year, 22-episode series. It's much more in the vein of an 'American Horror Story,' with a beginning, middle, and end," says Kitsis.

We're intrigued to see how that plays out. »

Sophie Lowe Cast as Alice in Once: Wonderland

29 March 2013 6:00 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

ABC has cast the lead role in its potential Once Upon a Time spinoff, as Sophie Lowe has landed the part of Alice.

According to network sources, the project will be titled "Once: Wonderland" and the cast - comprised so far of Lowe, Michael Socha as the Knave of Hearts and Peter Gadiot as Alice’s mysterious love interest, Cyrus - will take part in a test presentation for ABC executives later this year.

The spinoff would be produced by Ouat creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, film in Vancouver and be set in a pre-cursed version of Wonderland.

The series would be akin to American Horror Story, Kitsis and Horowitz have said, running with a set beginning, middle and end and possibly airing during the main show's winter hiatus.

Spinoffs, of course, are all the rage these days.

The Vampire Diaries will air a backdoor pilot to The Originals »
