Actor Alexandra McVicker has signed with Fusion Entertainment for management. McVicker, who is transgender, hails from Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to her transition, she was known for her breakout role on the HBO show “Vice Principals,” a dark comedy starring Danny McBride and Walton Goggins as conniving high school vice principals vying to run the school. As a recurring character on the second season, McVicker played a trouble student named Robin Shandrell whom Neal Gamby (McBride) decides to take on as a pet project during the school semester. Wouldn’t it be great if there really were secret societies holding ancient knowledge and the power to save the world? Maybe, maybe not, but if they had members played by Keegan-Michael Key, Ken Jeong and Debi Mazer, it’s a good bet we’d be fine either way. Luckily that’s the case in “The Pentaverate,” an upcoming Netflix series created by Mike Myers about a centuries-old organization (The Pentaverate) that ostensibly exists to save the world. But, based on the first trailer, appears to not be that great at it.
Watch the trailer above now.
Per the logline: “What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347? As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself.

Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan has been cast the upcoming action-thriller Waldo and he will star alongside Mel Gibson and Charlie Hunnam.
The film is being directed by Tim Kirby and the story is based on the book by Howard Gould. The story centers around “a disgraced Lapd detective (Hunnam), who’s spent the past three years living off the grid. He’s reluctantly pulled back into his old life by a former lover (Eiza González) in order to solve the murder of an eccentric celebrity’s wife.”
There’s no information on who exactly Monaghan will be playing in the film, but I enjoy the film projects that he works on. He always seems to play interesting characters and this sounds like it will be a good project for him to be a part of.
Monaghan will next be seen in the J.J. Abrams directed Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

‘whatever’s comfortable’
Naked Communications has launched the first local campaign for Brown Forman Australian liqueur brand Southern Comfort in over a decade.
The ad features a man who can’t stop body popping, a form of dance, with the tagline ‘whatever’s comfortable.’
Tim Kirby, business lead at Naked Communications, said: “The new positioning for Southern Comfort is refreshingly honest. Our challenge was to change people’s behaviour from just following the herd to having the confidence to just rock their thing, no matter what that ‘thing’ is. The stories we’re telling in this campaign show people that bring that attitude to life.”
The execution will run across both TV and cinema, and is supported by print, online, digital and social media.
