Don Coscarelli, who helmed John Dies and scripted it based on David Wong’s novel, notes that this is the third of his features on which his wife Shelley Kay served as costume designer. “She’s developing quite a body of work,” he tells us, speaking after a John Dies screening at Manhattan’s 92YTribeca. “She did the Bubba Ho-tep costuming and the last Phantasm [Phantasm IV: Oblivion]. We had to dress some interesting characters on John Dies, including this larger-than-life guy played by Clancy Brown named Dr. Albert Marconi (pictured below). He’s like a mashup of Tony Robbins and David Copperfield on steroids, and he needed to have the right look.
“We also had some strange characters in the other dimension who were partially clothed, and she came up with the look for that,” Coscarelli continues. “Daniel Roebuck plays the Largeman (pictured at top), and he’s basically the spokesperson for...

He was born a rambling man, which may explain why Gregg Allman, 64, is engaged to be married for the seventh time; this time to 24-year-old named Shannon. The legendary rock singer revealed the news to Piers Morgan on CNN.
When Morgan asked how Shannon felt about becoming Allman's seventh wife, he answered, "That's not what she's becoming. She's becoming wife Number One. I don't have a wife, I haven't had one for years."
"This time, I am really in love," added the classic rocker, who says that he was only in love with two of his previous wives, though "they didn't reciprocate."
Allman has been married six times and has five children: Son Devon Allman, 39, with ex-wife Shelley Kay Winters; son Elijah Blue Allman, 35, with ex-wife Cher; daughter Delilah Island Allman, 31, with ex-wife Julie Bindas; son Michael Sean Allman, 45, with ex-girlfriend Mary Lynn Green; and daughter Layla Brooklyn Allman, 19, with ex-girlfriend Shelby Blackburn.
