Michael Imison was born on February 9, 1935 in Hoylake, Cheshire, England, UK. He is a director and writer, known for Doctor Who (1963), Storyboard (1961) and Compact (1962). He was previously married to Tamsyn Imison.
He attended Birkenhead Boys School and Exeter College, Oxford University, where he gained a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters.
He founded Michael Imison Playwrights Limited, incorporated in 1977.
