- Brian Huckeba was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his parents and two brothers where he studied broadcast journalism at a local tech college. This is where his love for acting, editing, and directing began. Brian also began a career in stand-up and improvisational comedy with local performers.
He moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1991, where he began pursuing his Hollywood dream. Since his arrival, his acting pursuits have landed him roles in film, television, and stage. One stand-out performance is the hyper-kinetic "Chickenboy" in his debut film, Steel Frontier (1995). Brian performed in no less than five television pilots and re-launched his improvisational comedy group with all-new LA performers. "Void Where Prohibited" performed on the main stage at the world-famous "The Comedy Store" on Sunset Blvd. Editing took a major role in his survival here in Los Angeles, cutting numerous feature films and trailers. A partnership with friend Aric Cushing led to his directorial feature film debut, A Shot to the Heart, where he was nominated and won various awards including 2018 Award of Merit, Best Feature Film at the IndieFEST Film Awards, 2018 Best Feature Film Winner at the Hollywood Verge Film Awards and 2018 Best Director Silver Award at the Latitude Film Awards.
Brian is also the creative mind behind his YouTube channel, Huck's Pop Culture Cafe, focusing on entertainment and physical media.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Scott McBride
