Got an appetite for suffering? Fango’s got the exclusive debut of the unrated trailer for Steven Hentges’ Hunger (see it below), and info on where you can catch screenings of the film later this week.

The film stars The Poker Club’s Lori Heuring as one of five strangers who awake in an enclosed dungeon and subject to an experiment in depravity. The subjects are left without food, and as their hunger increases, their humanity strips away to reveal the lengths we will go to for survival. “Hunger, for me is about humanity and how far people will go to survive in extreme circumstances,” the director tells Fango. “The genesis came in a screenplay that the writer had submitted to a Slamdance Film Festival competition, and became a finalist.
