William Harrison

Harrison was an English professor, teaching a class in screen-writing, at the University of Arkansas when he wrote both
Rollerball (1975)
and
Mountains of the Moon (1990)
.
1955 graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth
He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1973, and taught at the University of Arkansas until he retired in 1998.
He wrote nine novels and dozens of short stories. Many of his stories are set in Africa, where he traveled extensively.
