NBC's Grimm TV show's sixth season premieres Friday, October 28, 2016. So said co-star Bitsie Tulloch, speaking in a Facebook video chat she did last week with Sebastian Roché. Watch it, below. To give itself scheduling room, so far NBC has only ordered 13 episodes of Grimm, season six. The two-part season five finale's title, "The Beginning of the End," could indicate the supernatural police procedural fantasy drama is drawing to a close sooner rather than later.
Roché, who guest-starred in Grimm season one, episode 18, "Cat and Mouse," as Edgar Waltz is playing Reichsminister Martin Heusmann in the upcoming second season of The Man in the High Castle on Amazon. Tulloch is working with Roché, Jack McBrayer, and Paula Marshall, on Christopher Gorham's feature film, We Love You, Sally Carmichael, currently shooting in Utah. NBC is not grim about Grimm. While it hasn't yet decided whether to cancel the Grimm TV series after season five or renew it for a season six, NBC's Entertainment Chair, Robert Greenblatt, sounds more positive than negative about the fate of this fantasy police procedural drama.
Greenblatt spoke to The Oregonian's Kristi Turnquist during the TCA winter press tour. As quoted below, it sounds like the Peacock Network is more fond than not of this Friday night fright-fest. Brimming with Wesen-ality, Grimm stars: David Giuntoli, Russel Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Silas Weir, Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Claire Coffee, and yes, Bitsie Tulloch.

Chicago – When a Gus Van Sant picture works well, it can be as rousing as “Milk” or as thrillingly experimental as “Elephant.” Few filmmakers have straddled the mainstream and independent realms with such success (Steven Soderbergh would be another). But when a Van Sant film fails, it often fails spectacularly, as proven by “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues” and that notoriously pointless “Psycho” remake.
Rating: 2.5/5.0
“Promised Land” is far from Van Sant’s worse film, but it’s certainly his blandest since “Finding Forrester.” By tackling the immensely topical issue of fracking, the film promises to stage provocative verbal altercations between an energy company salesman, Steve Butler (Matt Damon), and an environmental activist, Dustin (John Krasinski). At least that’s what the trailers suggest, but the script co-authored by Damon and Krasinski (based on a story by Dave Eggers) turns out to be a groan-inducing bait-and-switch.

Getting a little Grimm at Boomtron for a minute with this peek into the upcoming second season of NBC’s supernatural/cop show which actually kicks back off tonight. It is not of the show’s star (David Giuntoli) or partner (Russell Hornsby), or even Nick’s girl, instead it’s a scene featuring on of the Grimm’s season 2 guest stars. Back in June we told you Mark Pellegrino would be turning up in Grimm, which makes total sense because he seemingly has to be in every speculative fiction program. He’s just making his rounds.
Specifically, this image, which debuted via TVline, is tagged as from the third episode of the season, titled “Bad Moon Rising”. Pellegrino looks pretty animated here (and I guess drives a Dodge), playing a high school friend of Hank (the aforementioned Hornsby) named Jarold Kempfer, who as we told you before is also a coyotl.

Grimm comes to NBC tonight, and while viewers probably feel they have all the information they need from the previews, there may be more here than most think... though I'm not sure what.
Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) is a Portland detective, and as far as he's concerned, life is going along rather smoothly. There have been a few minor hiccups recently, like seeing people's faces turn into strange, monster visages, but other than that, he's doing fine. The job is going well, and things are working out with his girlfriend.
We witness some even stranger events, as people are seemingly attacked by werewolves and other foul creatures, but it's business as usual for Nick.
Then his aunt shows up with her strange camper in tow, and tells them they need to talk. She has some explaining to do about the family, and she asks Nick...

It's that time again, and NBC has revealed it's 2011-2012 schedule. A couple of things have been kicked to the curb, and a host of new shows are coming to fill things in. I have a preview of the new fall shows, and the full schedule for you. There are a few surprises on the cut and not cut side of things, and the new shows have a bit of something for everyone. As usual, some of the ones that look the best to me are reserved for mid-season. And, NBC has apparently given up on Saturday altogether.
It's a whole lot of info, so let's just jump in.
NBC has introduced its 2011-12 primetime schedule, showcasing six new dramas and six new comedies from a roster of renowned hit-makers that includes Steven Spielberg, Lorne Michaels, Brian Grazer, Tom Werner, John Grisham and Peter Berg, among many others.
The season’s new dramas are “Smash,...

A horror film shot in Astoria, Oregon, "Cthulhu," is now available on DVD (March 31, 2009). Based on a H.P. Lovecraft novel the film looks to build intensity through mystery rather than splatter or gore. Also, "Cthulhu," stars surgically enhanced Tori Spelling from "90210," fame. The first trailer is available and "Cthulhu," seems to focus on the romantic liaison between two childhood friends, with a New Age cult the bonus.
A large cast of characters makes up for the film and apparently Grant Cogswell, executive producer, sold his home in order to make this picture. So, surely there will be passion in the film, but will the addition of homosexual characters deter mainstream viewers? Receiving only moderate praise, from reviewers, viewers will have to decide whether to pay attention to this film, with a modest budget of $750 K, in a sea of straight-to-dvd or limited released films.
The synopsis...

As a committed fan of horror movies, I'll be the first to admit that 90% of the things are utterly unwatchable. And as a gay man (who probably should be committed), I have no problem saying that the odds for any particular "gay movie" being good are even worse. So I apologize if, when a gay horror movie comes along, my expectations are generally set somewhere between "dreading" and "hoping the DVD player explodes before the opening titles".
Enter Cthuhlu, a legitimate gay movie and a legitimate horror movie that somehow manages to also be a solid piece of atmospheric, entertaining filmmaking. Honest-to ... well, honest-to-Cthulhu.
Russ (Jason Cottle) is a thirtysomething history professor who is called to his seaside hometown when his mother passes away. Having been estranged from his family for some time because of the fact that he is gay, Russ isn't thrilled about the idea of returning home,...
