- Felipe González (Sevilla, 1942) was general secretary of the Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE), (Spanish Socialist Workers Party) and president of the Government of Spain between 1982 and 1996. During the Franco dictatorship, Felipe González joins the Socialist Youth, then a clandestine organization, and participates in acts of protest against the regime for which he was arrested in Madrid in 1971.
