Leigh Francis has said that Craig David needs to “move on” from their Bo Selecta row.
The TV personality – who uses the comedy name Keith Lemon – has been criticised in the past for the stunt in which he wore a rubber mask with exaggerated features intended to resemble the “7 Days” singer.
Francis impersonated a number of different celebrities on Bo Selecta, which ran on Channel 4 from 2002 to 2009.
David was one of those celebrities, and recently opened up about how the show affected him, calling it “bullying” and “racist”.
“He was highlighting characteristics he felt would trigger us personally,” David told The Times, saying “Every sketch felt personal.”
“It felt like a vendetta and when it got a following, it became something that affected me. People would shout at me on the street and I felt the same feeling I had when I was bullied at school. Leigh Francis had...

The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, Sep. 19, is shaping up to be a global spectacle. World leaders, including President Biden, will be in attendance, and the world’s media will be there, too.
The queen’s funeral will be the first time such an event has been broadcast on television. In 1952, when Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne, the funeral procession of King George VI was televised in the U.K., but the funeral itself remained private. Not so this time.
While the BBC will be the official broadcaster of the proceedings, every U.S. TV news organization will be in attendance, flying in many of their top anchors and blowing up their typical programming lineups to carry it live.
Here’s what’s planned from the U.S. TV news networks.

Exclusive: Channel 5 is revisiting classic UK lifestyle show You Are What You Eat and giving it a contemporary twist by installing presenter Trisha Goddard as host.
The original show broadcast on Channel 4 between 2004 and 2007, with presenter Gillian McKeith helping people improve their diets by, among other things, displaying their weekly intake of food on a table and testing their feces.
Producer Cpl Production will revive these infamous format points for Channel 5, as Goddard teams with Dr Amir Khan (GPs: Behind Closed Doors) and other experts to help people turn their lives around.
Goddard is back on UK screens after a stint in the U.S., where she hosted NBCUniversal syndicated talk show Trisha Goddard. She starred in ITV’s Dancing On Ice last year, and is reportedly in talks to launch a new ITV chat show.

After several fallow years, the first-run syndication marketplace has come back to life with a half-dozen daytime strips on deck to premiere in fall 2019, including notably big-budget talk show efforts hosted by Kelly Clarkson for NBCUniversal and Tamron Hall for Disney.
This burst of activity — and what it says about the willingness by studios and station owners to invest in high-end daytime programming — is sure to be a hot topic as executives, producers and advertisers gather in Miami this month for the annual Natpe conference, which runs Jan. 21-24 at the Fontainebleau Hotel.
“There are so many opportunities to tell stories in this daypart,” says Alex Duda, executive producer of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

THR reports that daytime talk shows Trisha and The Test have both been cancelled. In addition, Mc Serch's test series Serch won't be moving forward.
NBCUniversal has confirmed that Trisha, which stars British talk show host Trisha Goddard, is being cancelled after two seasons. In a statement, the studio said, "Trisha is a great talent and we recognize and are grateful for all of the hard work that Trisha and the production staff have put in to the show for the past two seasons."
Meanwhile, CBS Television Distribution wouldn't comment on the cancellation of The Test, a conflict resolution talk show, but sources confirmed the bad news. Hosted by Kirk Fox, it premiered last September but never caught on. Both Trisha and The Test have averaged a 0.6 rating this season.

If awkward TV is what you like to watch, then "The Trisha Goddard Show" is for you. Host Trisha Goddard welcomed white supremacist Craig Cobb to her show for an interesting little experiment. He submitted to a DNA test to discover his true heritage and the results were surprising, to him at least. While Cobb is 86% European, the test revealed he was also 14% Sub-Saharan African.
When Cobb hears the news he gets an uneasy smile on his face, before describing the results as "statistical noise." "Sweetheart, you've got a little black in you," Goddard jokes to him while another guest on the panel can't contain her laughter. Trisha tries to get a fist bump out of the man, but he leaves her hanging. At least he takes it better than Clayton Bigsby did on that "Chappelle's Show" sketch, "Black White Supremacist."

With Edgar Wright's whip-panning, crash-zooming camerawork and dense, cineliterate scripts from Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes, it was all but inevitable that the team behind Spaced would make the leap to the big screen. The spirit of Channel 4's cult sitcom lives on in Shaun of the Dead, Wright and Pegg's rom-zom-com that set a relationship breakdown against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. It was Tim Bisley's amphetamine-fuelled Resident Evil 2 session in Spaced (alongside a hefty dose of George A Romero's classic Dead trilogy) that inspired this film... And what a film!
Shaun of the Dead is one of those rare occasions when the movie Gods align and everything just clicks. Wright's film manages to be whip-smart, scary and - despite being incredibly funny - never resorts to spoofing the zombie movie genre it's so firmly rooted in.

Jeff Probst may host CBS' top reality show but he didn't have much luck in daytime. The Jeff Probst Show has been cancelled after one season.
Debuting last September, the new talk series just never caught on and couldn't draw as many viewers as fellow newbies Katie, Trisha Goddard, and Steve Harvey. The Ricki Lake Show also began last fall, had a similar ratings problem, and was recently cancelled as well. Sophomore series Anderson Live won't be back next fall either.
A spokesman for CBS Television Distribution said, "We believe Jeff is an incredible talent, and that he and his dedicated producing team delivered quality episodes throughout the season. Unfortunately, the audience isn't there to support a second year... We are grateful to the entire staff, our affiliate partners and advertisers for their ongoing support of The Jeff Probst Show."

"Survivor" host Jeff Probst must be happy he kept his primetime job because his daytime talk show, "The Jeff Probst Show," won't survive for Season 2.
CBS TV Distribution has pulled the plug on Probst's syndicated series citing disappointing ratings, but will continue to produce new episodes through the end of this season. Probst becomes the latest high profile daytime host to see his series canceled following recent axings of fellow freshman "The Ricki Lake Show" and sophomore "Anderson Cooper Live."
Meanwhile, Katie Couric, Steve Harvey and Trisha Goddard have all seen their first season shows renewed for next year.
Despite, or perhaps because of, the void left in daytime TV by the departure of Oprah Winfrey the arena has become increasingly competitive. Queen Latifah will enter the fray next season and Kris Jenner has a summer test run that could develop into a full-fledged series.

Impressing studio execs with high ratings, Katie Couric's daytime talk show has been renewed for a second season.
Beating out other newcomers including Steve Harvey, Ricki Lake, Trisha Goddard, and Jeff Probst, "Katie" recently nabbed its 19th consecutive week at #1.
Currently, the show is number 6 among all talk shows and earns 2.5 million viewers. Some of the success is due in part to grabbing big names, like her interview with Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o.
Speaking about the endeavor, the 56-year-old journalist shared, "Hosting, producing and launching a show from scratch has been challenging but very rewarding. I'm looking forward to working with our terrific team to build on the success of our first season and continuing to share compelling stories, explore important topics, and create entertaining television for our audience."...

Although it's far from a breakout hit, Katie Couric's syndicated daytime talk show, "Katie," has officially been renewed for Season 2 by Disney-abc Domestic Television.
The show is the top-rated of several middling new entries into the daytime scene this season including efforts from Ricki Lake and Jeff Probst. "Katie" joins "Steve Harvey," "Trisha Goddard" and "Dish Nation" as the only daytime freshmen series so far to get a second season renewal.
"Katie" ranks sixth out of the 18 syndicated talk shows currently on the air and has been averaging 2.497 million viewers season-to-date.
Couric recently saw a ratings bump for her Jan. 24 interview with Mati Te'o and his parents, but also lost her original executive producer Jeff Zucker to a high-profile gig at CNN. Couric executive produces "Katie" with Michael Morrison ("The Martha Stewart Show").

Trisha Goddard joins NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution‘s other freshman daily syndicated talk show, Steve Harvey, with a renewal for a second season in national syndication. Unlike Steve Harvey, which has been a breakout hit, Trisha Goddard has been the lowest-rated among the new syndicated talk shows this season, partly because the show started in far-less-trafficked time slots. Since its debut, the one-hour talk show has been upgraded in major markets including Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, Phoenix, Las Vegas and more. That has helped Trisha grow in the ratings since its debut while also improving its time periods. In the November 2012 sweep, the show’s viewership increased 23% vs. its premiere week. Trying to determine which Lohan is the worst is like trying to decide between lung, pancreatic or ovarian cancer - they're All bad and you don't want any part of them. Michael Lohan took a paternity test on a talk show to find out if he was the father of a 17-year-old girl claiming to be his daughter. Ding Ding, he has another child - except this one he weaseled out of paying for. Lohan and Kristi Horn had an affair back in 1995 when he was still married to Dina. It's official: Lindsay Lohan has a new half-sister. Well, technically she's not new, but 17-year-old Ashley Horn was just confirmed to be a member of the Lohan family after Michael Lohan underwent a DNA test on The Trisha Goddard Show. For years, Ashley's mother, Kristi Horn (aka Kaufmann), has insisted that Lindsay's dad is the biological father to Ashley, and the now-confirmed love child came face-to-face with Michael for the first time on an explosive episode airing today. Until now, Lohan has denied that he is Ashley's father and has refused to pay child support. After Ashley opens the envelope, Trisha informs the audience that "Michael is Ashley's father" as...

He’s backkkk! Michael Lohan continues to be our all time favorite D-lister ever (sorry Octomom) by finding new and exciting ways to make us loath him. But get ready, because this time he truly out done himself. The slightly-less-terrible Lilo parent went on television to learn through DNA testing that he fathered a lovechild in the 90s while married to slightly-more-terrible Lilo parent Dina. The Maury-rific experience went down on Trisha Goddard’s NBC show, where Mike was joined by Kristi Horn, who has made numerous claims over the years that he is the real father of her 17-year-old daughter. Despite the accusations, Michael has repeatedly denied that the child is his, has never paid her a dime in child support, and apparently never even met the child.
So what do you do when you’re have no real talent of your own, and your cash-cow daughter’s...

A new chart courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter. A cleaner version below. I'll just say that I don't watch Any of these shows; certainly not with any regularity. It's probably been at least a decade (maybe more) since I last actually turned my TV on to watch Maury or Jerry Springer; I actually thought both shows were off the air, and were in re-runs. I guess not. Just look at the chart - black audiences Alone make up about 50% of the viewership for both shows. Wendy Williams and Trisha Goddard I can kind of understand (even if only because they are both black women), although I'm not a viewer of either show - each clocking over 55% black...

Five new talk shows are attempting to fill the large void left by Oprah Winfrey in daytime — and, as expected, it’s not so easy to drum up a following in an already crowded daypart dominated by vets like Maury Povich, Dr. Phil and Ellen DeGeneres.
Among the new shows that launched this fall, Steve Harvey and Katie Couric are leading but the race remains thisclose against Ricki Lake in women 18-49, the demo most coveted by advertisers. Harvey and Couric have a better lead over the competition among women 25-54, where newbies like Jeff Probst and Trisha Goddard are struggling to gain a foothold.

Starting Monday, Sept. 10, "Survivor" host Jeff Probst takes on a crowded weekday afternoon talk field that includes such chat vets as Katie Couric and Ricki Lake and talk newcomers Steve Harvey and Brit Trisha Goddard.
Probst brings to the table high name recognition, an affable personality, killer dimples and a party room -- yes, a party room. Imagine your typical talk show greenroom -- some couches, a few snacks, maybe a bar, meant to keep celebrity guests entertained.
Only this party room has much, much more, and it's meant for the enjoyment of the audience members.

This story first appeared in the Sept. 14 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. Katie Couric may have the news experience, but Steve Harvey is the new daytime talk show host people most want to watch. That’s according to a poll of 270 daytime television viewers conducted by THR and pollster Penn Schoen, which looked at new programs from hosts Couric, Harvey, Jeff Probst, Ricki Lake and Trisha Goddard. When asked if all five new programs aired at the same time, which would respondents like to watch, Steve Harvey topped the pack with 36 percent saying they’d pick the NBCUniversal show. How this slipped past us, I have no idea. But along with all the new syndicated talk shows premiering this fall, from folks like Katie Couric, Jeff Probst, Ricke Lake (What Again?), Marie Osmond and, of course, the ladies' favorite Steve Harvey (which is already getting a major PR push from NBC Universal who is producing his show), there's another one set to make its premiere this September. And that is, The Trisha Goddard talk show, which, like Harvey's show, is also produced by NBC Universal; and according to reports, as far back as this past winter, was already sold in 80% of all markets in the U.S. Funny though, I haven't heard a thing...

NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution’s new syndicated talk show Trisha, a spinoff from the company’s veteran Maury, is now a go for fall with clearances in more than 80% of the U.S., including 27 of the top 30 markets. Trisha‘s core station group is Sinclair, which picked up the series hosted by popular British talk-show host Trisha Goddard in October. At the time, the show had not been firmed up for a national rollout because it was yet to find stations in the top three markets — New York Los Angeles and Chicago — something it has now accomplished. Over the past several seasons, Goddard served as a guest host and conflict expert on Maury, and her new show is expected to focus on conflict resolution. Maury executive producer Paul Faulhaber will also executive produce the offshoot. This is now the fifth syndicated talk show to launch nationally in the fall, along...

LONDON -- Jerry Springer will host a new talk show for ITV, the network said Thursday. Springer will front a monthlong run of half-hour morning shows to air weekdays this summer at 9:30 a.m. and anchor ITV's new daytime schedule.
