For approx 2 years until May 1894, Basil Gill taught art at The Grammar
School, Wallington, U.K. before leaving for a post in Switzerland.
After touring the U.S. and Australia, he became a member of Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree's company from 1903 to 1907, appearing almost exclusively in Shakespearean plays.
