(2007-2008) Plays 'The Earl of Gloucester' in "King Lear" and 'Sorin' in "The Seagull" in simultaneous RSC productions, alongside Ian McKellen, Frances Barber, Monica Dolan, Sylvester McCoy, Jonathan Hyde and Romola Garai. The plays went first on a worldwide tour, then were in residence in the 'New London Theatre'. The final performances were on the Saturday, 12th January 2008. He alternated the role of Sorin with Ian McKellen, so that McKellen could also play the lead role in "King Lear". more
