Boston Strangler Trailer: Kiera Knightley and Carrie Coon Flee the Lifestyle Desk to Track a Killer!
One of the best things about streaming television is how it merges the big screen with small-screen accessibility.
While theaters still prefer tentpole releases rather than dramatic features or rom-coms, streaming platforms have embraced the opportunity to showcase a little of everything.
Hulu will release 20th Century star-studded feature Boston Stranger from writer/director Matt Ruskin on March 17.
Hulu released today the official trailer for the true-crime thriller about the trailblazing reporters who broke the story of the notorious Boston Strangler murders of the 1960s.
The film follows Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders.

20th Century and Hulu unveiled the trailer for “Boston Strangler,” the true-crime thriller about the journalists who cracked the case of the infamous 1960s murders.
Keira Knightley stars as Loretta McLaughlin, a reporter for the Record-American newspaper who strikes out on her own when her sexist superiors get in the way of her investigation. She’s joined by her colleague Jean Cole (Carrie Coon) in her quest to uncover the truth.
At the top of the trailer, Loretta makes a connection between three murders that occurred within two weeks of each other, but her boss (Chris Cooper) tells her, “You’re on the lifestyle desk. You’re not covering a homicide.”
When she’s told she doesn’t have a story, Loretta asks: “How many women have to die before it’s a story?”

If you thought the drama behind the scenes between the Fast and Furious stars was wild, wait until you hear about the stipulations they added into their contracts to protect their macho images. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, which spoke with several producers and crew members, including Michael Fottrell, the franchise's lead stars have contract demands to ensure they all give as good as they get in scripted fight scenes.
You read that right; in the same films where more scenes are dedicated to machinery blowing up than meaningful dialogue, actors have producers keeping track of how many times their character is getting punched. The report specifically calls out Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham, the latter two who star in the recently released F&f spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, mentioning that each star limits the amount of punishment their characters endure. And it's all in the name of not appearing "weak.

With “Hobbs & Shaw,” the latest spinoff of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, in theaters this weekend, the Wall Street Journal takes a closer look at the film’s challenging choreography. According to this latest report, franchise stars Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, and Vin Diesel (who isn’t featured in this ninth entry of the action tentpole series) all negotiated special arrangements with producers for their fight scenes.
Amid an off-set battle of dueling machismos, apparently Diesel suggested to assign numerical values to every move to determine if everyone was getting pummeled equally. When asked if vanity plays a role, producer Michael Fottrell said, “No comment. Of course it does!”
“Mr. Diesel’s points plan was eventually abandoned once everyone decided it was too complicated, according to a person present who worked with the star, but it was an example of the delicate balance that must be reached on every set the men are on,...

A new report reveals literal scorekeeping in fight scenes between Fast and Furious' Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham.
It’s tough being the king, and according to Vin Diesel, the star of six Fast and Furious movies, that goes for being an onscreen alpha male as well. Diesel previously told USA Today that his well-documented beef with Dwayne Johnson—the Mvp of the franchise who is now co-leading its first spinoff in Hobbs & Shaw—can be reduced to, “It’s not always easy being an alpha. And it’s two alphas.”
Well according to an eye-opening report from The Wall Street Journal, Diesel, Johnson, and Jason Statham, the three alphas currently leading the franchise in its many forms, are not making it easy on the crew when it comes to determining how the series’ endless fight scenes should go. Their trio of characters have...

How can we not talk about family When family's all that we got?—Wiz Khalifa (feat. Charlie Puth), See You AgainWhat a long, strange ride it's been… and still some way to go. As I write, the eighth film in the Fast/Furious series (Ff) is still playing in thousands of cinemas worldwide. I won't concern myself here with the box-office performance of The Fate of the Furious—nor will I attempt synopsis of this or the previous installments—except to note that enough money was taken on opening-day alone to confirm we can expect the ninth and tenth in this prodigiously lucrative Universal franchise to hit our screens late spring or early summer, in 2019 and 2021.Ideally the 10th—and, presuming Vin Diesel's September 2015 comment about "one last trilogy" is honored, final—picture should arrive exactly 20 years after Rob Cohen’s The Fast and the Furious bowed on 22nd June,...

The Fast and Furious franchise has had a storied existence. What started out as a drama involving a cop getting in too deep turned into a ridiculous, over-the-top, superhero franchise with almost as many explosions as your average Transformers flick (okay, maybe not almost as many). Like any good TV series, the Fast and Furious series has taken some time to find its sea legs, and when the fourth film hit, it seemed clear that they knew which direction they needed to be heading in.
Now, several years later, we find ourselves a couple short months from the release of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth film in the series. In spite of original lead Paul Walker’s tragic death a few years back, the gang is still moving forward in style. This time around, however, they’re short one more man in the form of Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto.

The Fast & Furious films have spent seven movies building up the gang as a family. In fact, I’m pretty sure family is the single most used word in the entire franchise. So driven home was the fact that they were all family, that one never thought they’d turn on each other.
When the first trailer for Fate of the Furious, the eighth film in the series (On a side note, is anyone else annoyed they didn’t write it as “F8 of the Furious”?), hit the web, it was revealed that for some unknown reason, Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, would turn on the gang. Of course, the question going into the movie will be, “Why, Dominic, why?” But, seeing as the film isn’t hitting for some time, I don’t expect a real answer anytime soon.
Until then, let’s just enjoy the fun round...

Last year’s “Furious 7” became a global phenomenon, breaking records and becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise after just 12 days. It was a bittersweet tribute to the late Paul Walker who passed away on November 30, 2013, with filming only half-completed. Production has begun in Boston on the action comedy Central Intelligence, for New Line Cinema and Universal Pictures. The film, starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, director of the hit comedies “We’re the Millers” and “Dodgeball.”
The story follows a one-time bullied geek who grew up to be a lethal CIA agent (Johnson), coming home for his high school reunion. Claiming to be on a top-secret case, he enlists the help of the former “big man on campus” (Hart), now an accountant who misses his glory days. But before the staid numbers-cruncher realizes what he’s getting into it’s too late to get out, as his increasingly unpredictable new friend drags him through a world of shoot-outs, double-crosses and espionage that could get them both killed in more ways than he can count.
Central Intelligence will also star Oscar nominee Amy Ryan...

In an unexpected last-minute decision, Furious 7 made its worldwide premiere last night at the South by Southwest festival (you can check out our own review right here). Director James Wan, producer Neal H. Moritz and star Tyrese Gibson took to the stage to present the finished product – completed mere days beforehand – for what was described by those in attendance as an emotional night.
Paying tribute to the sadly departed Paul Walker, who led the franchise for years, the main takeaway from the crew’s introduction was a sense of family. And that same message permeates the latest international trailer that Universal has dropped today.

After a prolonged development that witnessed the tragic death of one of the franchise’s leading stars in Paul Walker, Furious 7 is now barreling down on its April release date. And to ensure excitement remains at fever pitch, Universal has unveiled a new extended look at one of the sequel’s key, show-stopping scenes: the skydive.
Given that this is a Fast and Furious film, though, the stunt isn’t your run-of-the-mill procedure; rather, on this instance we see Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto lead his crew and their cars out of the back of an airborne plane, presumably kicking off a top-secret mission. It’s a great scene that retains the gleeful, go-big-or-go-home nature of the franchise, and we’re excited to see what James Wan has in store once the full-length feature hits theaters in a few weeks time.

Universal has served up the international trailer for Furious 7, which takes the action back to where it all began.
Long-time fans of the gleeful street racing saga will no doubt remember Race Wars as the event in which Paul Walker’s Brian has to prove his worth to Dom and the rest of the Toretto crew. Taking place on a stretch of desert — filmed at the San Bernardino International Airport — the event brought together the hottest cars in the business for a bout of one on one racing, with pink slips and reputation on the line.
With James Wan behind the lens, Furious 7 will see the crew haunted by the sins of London, as Jason Statham’s Ian Shaw seeks revenge for the death of his younger brother. It may be a simple set-up, but from the footage released thus far, it looks as if Wan and Co.

If you haven’t yet gotten your fix of Furious 7 following the wonderfully outrageous sophomore trailer from earlier today, we have good news for you: Universal has just released a hoard of new stills from the upcoming sequel that take you up close and personal with the Toretto crew.
Featuring Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson brandishing a minigun and just the right amount of crazy, the collection of screens can be found in the gallery below.
With franchise newcomer James Wan behind the proverbial steering wheel, Furious 7 will see our tight-knit group of heroes haunted by the sins of London — i.e. what went down during Fast and Furious 6 — with Owen Shaw’s older brother (The Stath) out for some good old-fashioned revenge. Rounding out the ensemble cast are Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russell, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, Lucas Black, and John Brotherton.

The Super Bowl trailer that Universal Pictures released for Furious 7 is freakin' insane! This movie is going to be such a ridiculously fun thrill ride, and I'm so excited to see it. This upcoming chapter of the franchise was directed by James Wan (The Conjuring), and it looks like he did a hell of a job! This very well could end up being the best Fast and Furious film in the series. One of the main reasons for that is that Wan is incredibly more talented than Justin Lin, who directed the previous films. Just wait until you see the last half of this spot, it's just so amazingly over-the-top!

Universal has been teasing it here and there all week, but now they've finally unveiled the first official trailer for Furious 7 (formerly known as Fast & Furious 7), and it's jam-packed with all the action you'd expect to find. Come inside to check it out!
Despite the sadness surrounding the tragic death of Paul Walker, our first official look at Furious 7 is as exciting as you hoped. It's filled to the brim with all the insane action and intensity we've come to expect from the franchise, while inserting the fresh elements of Jason Statham (which I can't wait to see his fight scenes!), and the new(ish) vengeance storyline. In all, it looks like another fun adventure.

Universal is building up hype for the new Fast and the Furious film – now titled Furious 7 – by releasing several 7-second behind-the-scenes videos. The short clips manage to show a lot in such a brief amount of time (like a shot of a car falling from the sky, which looked pretty crazy). Check them out below.
These clips are all leading up to an event on November 1st, when Universal will unveil the trailer for the film. There will also be a special live broadcast at 12pm Pst/3pm Est where the cast will answer fan questions.
With the tragic death of Paul Walker, people will be paying attention to this film probably more than any other Fast and the Furious movie ever. To top it off this is the seventh movie in the franchise so expectations are high as it is.
