Prince William has been taking on royal duties while Kate Middleton undergoes cancer treatment. Back in March 2024, the Princess of Wales shocked the world when she announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Kate has maintained her privacy during this time, though William did return to royal duties in April after taking about a month off.
During a recent royal engagement, William was just about to get back in his car when he heard some fans yelling to him; he dropped everything and went over to retrieve a sweet gift for the princess.

Yann Demange's "'71" had a strong showing in the nominations stage for the 2014 British Independent Film Awards, but it was Matthew Warchus' "Pride" walking away with top honors, including Best Film, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. However, my favorite win of the evening has to be Brendan Gleeson's for the underrated "Calvary." Gugu Mbatha-Raw ("Belle") rounded out the acting honors. Nothing for "The Imitation Game" or "Selma," but as our old friend Guy Lodge noted on Twitter, I'm sure they'll do fine elsewhere this season. Check out the full list of winners below, and remember to keep track of the season at The Circuit. Best Film "Pride" Best Actor Brendan Gleeson, "Calvary" Best Director Yann Demange, "'71" Best Actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw, "Belle" Best Supporting Actor Andrew Scott, "Pride" Best Supporting Actress Imelda Staunton, "Pride" Best Screenplay "Frank" Best Achievement in Production "The Goob" Best Documentary...

A strange and beautiful beast of a film, I had the chance to catch Ian Forsyth and Jane Pollard's 20 000 Days On Earth while attending the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa last month. The one non-African viewing I allowed myself while there, this was time very well spent, a film I imagine would be equally compelling viewing whether or not you were already a fan of its subject, Nick Cave, given the unusual approach to the material. This is no talking head documentary, you see, and is arguably more of a performance art piece than it is a documentary at all, given how clearly Cave himself deliberately shaped what is on screen, but the end result is a fascinating look into the mind...

This morning we can exclusively bring you the new poster for Nick Cave’s 20000 Days On Earth, and it truly is a thing of beauty! Featuring the man himself at the heart of an office crammed full of Cave memorabilia, it’s a poster that demands an extensive browse, like a rock and roll Where’s Wally. A documentary-cum-drama, the new film charts a fictitious 24 hours in the life of Cave, examining the creative process of one of the most interesting artists currently operating. Directed by Ian Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the film...

Drafthouse Films has acquired North American rights to Ian Forsyth and Jane Pollard's Nick Cave documentary "20,000 Days on Earth." The film made its world premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival where it won Best Directing and Best Editing in the World Cinema Documentary category. The company plans to release it this year. The film tracks Cave's creative process during the early stages of making his 2013 album "Push the Sky Away." "Partnering with Drafthouse Films to release our first film in North America is a huge thrill for us. They release the kind of films we want to watch! Tim League's passion for film is infectious and together with his team we know their vision will ensure '20,000 Days on Earth' reaches the widest possible audience" said Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard. "I am among many who consider Nick Cave the unofficial poet laureate of the modern age," says Drafthouse Films founder Tim League.
