- Jean Ferrat was born on December 26, 1930 in Vaucresson, Hauts-de-Seine, France. He was a composer and actor, known for La vieille dame indigne (1965), Le coup de grâce (1965) and Personne ne m'aime (1994). He was married to Colette Laffont and Christine Sèvres. He died on March 13, 2010 in Aubenas, Ardèche, France.

- His father was sent to Auschwitz during WWII. Ferrat wrote about this in one of his earliest hit songs, "Nuit et brouillard" (Night and Fog).
