Carrie Underwood was given her second prize at 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards, being named Entertainer of the Year. She put aside Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, George Strait and Keith Urban.
"I've had a lot of good moments in the last four years," Carrie delivered her acceptance speech. "This one takes the cake. 'Thank you God. Thank you fans' ... I never thought I'd be nominated, and I never thought I'd win. I don't know what to say. I got nothing." She ended it by letting out a scream and swirling around before exiting the stage.
During the ceremony, crystal milestone awards were also handed to Taylor Swift and Jennifer Nettles. Taylor got the prize for the impressive sale of her second studio album "Fearless". She said, "I did not know this was going to happen actually." She concluded by thanking her label "for letting be [herself] and writing [her] own songs."
