Invented the name of the drink "Zima" while working for a marketing firm.
In her five years as staff writer and producer for the show Buffy the
Vampire Slayer, she wrote a total of 23 episodes. She was the only
staff writer (besides series creator Joss Whedon and executive producer
Marti Noxon) to be credited on more than five episodes in a single
season. (She was credited as writer on no less than 6 episodes in the
show's seventh and final season.)
Currently Co-Executive Producer of Battlestar Galactica

Jane Espenson grew up in Ames, Iowa, and attended graduate school at UC Berkeley, where she studied linguistics.
At mid-Season 7, she is one of the only long-term Buffy writers never
to have directed an episode of the show.
She was an ABC/Disney Writing Fellow for 1992-1993.
Currently working as a staff writer/producer on the WB
show 'Gilmore Girls' and writing a new short story for inclusion in the
new 'Tales Of The Slayers' collection (a branch of the extensive
Buffy-related fiction franchise.) (November 2003)
Her favourite characters on Buffy were Jonathan (the littlest geek) and
Spike (the errant vampire.)
Currently working as a writer/producer on the show 'Jake in
Progress' and pitching pilot projects under an overall deal with 20th
