Martin Lewis has been announced as a regular co-host on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
The financial journalist and consumer champion, 50, will join the weekday breakfast show on various Wednesdays across the year, alongside the show’s long-term presenter Susanna Reid.
Speaking about his appointment, Lewis said: “To have the ability to hold politicians to account over the cost of living is a privilege and a responsibility.
“It’s a slight gear change from my usual work, but after years of answering complex questions, it’s nice for once to be asking them. So I was delighted when ITV offered me the role of regular presenter.”
He continued: “The difficulty came with working it around my day job, as money saving expert, which is always my priority. So I’m hopeful the solution we’ve come up with, to lock in a dozen special shows a year, sitting alongside Susanna Reid’s brilliant journalism,...

US rapper J Cole revealed the ridiculously young age he started smoking in a new interview.
The “No Role Modelz” star discussed the habit on Tuesday’s (21 March) episode of the “Lead by Example With Bob Myers” podcast, hosted by the president and general manager of the Golden State Warriors NBA team.
“At 6 years old, I was smoking cigarettes regularly around the neighbourhood,” Cole, who grew up in North Carolina, told Myers.
“I was always hanging around the older kids in the neighbourhood that [my older brother, Zach] was hanging around and they were smoking. And I was young and fearless and trying to be cool.”
“So, it was like, ‘Oh, y’all smoking. Let me see that.’ And, of course, we’re all out there [with] young parents, long leashes. Not that [my mom] knew I was doing this,” Cole continued.
The now-38-year-old said he was busted when his older brother caught him smoking and...

Legendary Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis has denied that her daughter Sophie Ellis-Bextor is a “nepo baby”.
Ellis, who hosted the kids’ TV show from 1979 to 1987, has three children, one of whom is the “Murder on the Dancefloor” singer.
Asked about discussions about the children of famous people being the recipients of nepotism (known as nepo babies) in a new interview, Ellis said that “the tables have turned” for her and her daughter
Appearing on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Wednesday (22 March), Ellie told host Steph McGovern: “It works the other way for me. I’m Sophie’s mum.
“Certainly in Sophie’s case it didn’t apply because what she’s doing is so different. When she first started as a singer, she was only 18, and people said to me, ‘Oh, that’s great, she’s doing something you can understand,’ I thought, ‘I don’t know the music industry at all.

1.Emma Peel (The Avengers). Stylish, well spoken and a martial arts expert – Emma Peel had it all. Prior to The Avengers action women were virtually unknown on British TV and since Diana Rigg first strolled onto the screen, such ladies have become scarce once again because everyone knows that no one can compete with her.
Leela
2.Leela (Doctor Who). Very few cave women get to travel through time and even fewer have the ability to change the color of their irises but Leela was no ordinary cave girl. Louise Jameson went on to have more high jinx as Bergerac’s girl but to Doctor Who fans of a certain age she’ll always be a warrior of the Sevateem.

Pantomimes: I hate 'em. Let me count the ways: The forced jollity. The cheesy music. The gaudy sets and costumes which could melt the eyeballs from a million miles away. And don't even get me started on the strained attempts at audience participation.
Plus there's the fact that panto season means Christmas, a time of year that depresses the hell out of me because of the empty bank account, the turkey, the freezing weather, the fact that summer seems like a dot on the horizon, the X Factor winner getting to number one, Cliff - or the fact that I am a great big Scrooge who makes the Grinch seem like Ronald McDonald.
So it's with trepidation that I approach The Horns Of Nimon, a Doctor Who story that can only be described as pantomime. Appropriately, it originally went out during the Christmas period of 1979, and as a result, it...

Sophie Ellis Bextor was so hated at school that children formed an "Against Sophie" club. The 30-year-old singer - whose mother Janet Ellis presented U.K. children's TV show "Blue Peter" - admits she used to brag about her mom's career, but soon stopped when she realized how unpopular she was.
She explained: "Was I popular? No, complete opposite. There was an 'Against Sophie' club. It's pretty cruel, but they were interested at first, 'Oh your mom's on TV,' and then it was, 'Hang on a minute, she's the only one who's got that so we can all gang up on her,' and stuff like that."
"That was in my infant school so I think I was about five or six. I can't say it was brilliant, but at the same time I probably was a bit of a show-off about it because I thought it was brilliantly glamorous.
