Skeletal American character actor, usually found in "B" westerns playing Mexicans, Indians, assorted baddies or townsfolk. He was a close friend of cowboy star Bob Steele. Dwire apparently began his career in stock theater with Oliver Morosco.
Prior to his death at in the Los Angeles Veterans Hospital, he lived at the Military Veterans Home in Los Angeles.
In World War One, Earl Dean Dwire served as a Private, in the United States Army, with the 343rd Battalion, Tank Corps, "The Legion".
In most of his westerns, his hair and mustache were dyed black.
