Was twice nominated for Broadway's Tony Awards: in 1961 as Best Supporting or Featured Actress (Musical) for "Do Re Mi" and in 1965 as Best Actress Musical) for "Bajour."

Married twice, she has no children.

Best remembered as the late Ted Knight's wife on the hit TV sitcom "Too Close for Comfort" (1980).

Daughter of George Adrian and Sarah Isabel (Seitz) Dussault. Her father was a naval captain and pilot and she was raised all over the world.

Headed the Ray Bolger School of Musical Performance at UCLA where she taught for six years and initiated their Musical Theater Program.

Broadway veteran whose vast musical theater leads include Nellie Forbush in "South Pacific," Maria in "The Sound of Music," the title role in "Peter Pan," Carrie in "Carounsel," Daisy in "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever," Sharon in "Finian's Rainbow," the title role in "Irene" and the Witch in "Into the Woods," in addition to scores of musical revues and one-evening special tributes.

Graduated from Northwestern University receiving the Young Artist's Award and was twice soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
