Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Oklahoma) said that Oklahomans “would be pretty upset” if he had not stood up to Teamsters leader Sean O’Brien during a Senate hearing on Tuesday.
Mullin and O’Brien went back and forth at each other amid a conversation about labor unions and even threatened a fight, with Mullin standing up from his chair before Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) stopped him.
Mullin defended his actions during an interview with Sean Hannity later that day.
“He called you out,” Hannity said to Mullin. “You called him out for calling you out. And that’s kind of old school, the way it used to be.”
When asked if his conduct aligned with what is expected of a U.S. senator, Mullin responded that he is “a guy from Oklahoma first.”

Max Meyers has at least one firm rule about his new CNBC program, and it might surprise some of the business-news outlet’s die-hards. “I told everyone, ‘No earnings,’” says Meyers, a veteran producer at the NBCUniversal-backed cable network. “I don’t want to hear that.”
No net income on CNBC? Such a dictate would be anathema on “Squawk Box,” the morning-news program that Meyers previously ran, but it might just stick on “Last Call,” a new 7 p.m. effort from CNBC executives that aims to keep business-news aficionados hanging out with the network until later in the evening. Over the past week, anchor Brian Sullivan, who is moving from a 5 a.m. roost on “Worldwide Exchange” to anchor the new evening show, has held forth on everything from Tesla to Salesforce during rehearsals, ready to give late-breaking news to CNBC’s market faithful.

Exclusive: Universal International Studios (Uis) and Australian indie Matchbox Pictures are developing a TV adaptation of Adrian McKinty novel The Island.
Published last year, The Island follows Heather Baxter, who marries Tom and moves from a small country town to Seattle. A working vacation overseas seems like the perfect way to bring the new family together, but once they’re deep in the Australian outback, the jet-lagged and exhausted kids are so over their new mom. When they discover a remote Dutch island, off-limits to outside visitors, the family talks their way onto the ferry, taking a chance on an adventure far from the reach of iPhones and Instagram. But as soon as they set foot on the island, which is run by a tightly knit clan of locals, everything feels wrong.

In a bright, wide-open studio at Fox News’ Manhattan headquarters, where cable-news programs often stick to tried-and-true formats, Dagen McDowell and Sean Duffy are trying something a little unexpected: an experiment.
Larry Kudlow just wrapped his after-market Fox Business program, and the duo are taking advantage of the empty facility to rehearse banter for their new show, “Bottom Line,” slated to debut Monday evening at 6 p.m. Sure, they strike familiar chords, with a segment that examines how President Joe Biden’s White House has grappled with continued revelations of classified documents being found in his offices that eventually segues into a discussion of his son, Hunter Biden. But McDowell, a longtime correspondent, and Duffy, the former Republican Congressman from Wisconsin. are also trying to create new music.
“We definitely think about the world in the same way,” says McDowell, during a recent interview.

In a recently-revealed clip from The Challenge: Untold History, viewers can take a trip down memory lane with some of the Og cast members who were part of the show’s early evolution.
Initially, MTV’s The Challenge didn’t involve the extra-fancy production, an extensive cast of reality TV stars, or even a big money prize, as competitors roughed it in an Rv.
Those early years brought Real World and Road Rules together to see which cast might win bragging rights for various missions, among other random prizes they received. Money was on the line at times, but never near the amounts competitors battle for today.
The show’s earliest cast members included legends like The Godfather Mark Long, Darrell Taylor, Jon Brennan, Theo von Kurnatowski, and Veronica Portillo.

Rachel Campos-Duffy has a lot going on. The mother of nine makes her “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host debut Saturday and just launched a new podcast with her husband, former congressman Sean Duffy. The couple met thanks to MTV’s “The Real World” — she was a cast member on “The Real World: San Francisco” in 1994, while he was on “The Real World: Boston” — but Campos-Duffy isn’t convinced the new iteration of the show that sparked her marriage can live up to the original seasons.

Geraldo Rivera literally begged his Fox News colleagues to “understand the anguish in the families of color” who watch the nightly news and, upon seeing the policy brutality, worry that when their child goes out at night, “that child may never come back.”
The topic on Friday night’s “The Five” was the police fatal shooting of 13-year-old Adam Toledo and the disturbing body cam video of police chasing Toledo down an alley and shooting him as he turned around. After Jesse Waters read stats on police who have been killed on duty and Sean Duffy questioned, “Why wasn’t Adam — why wasn’t he in school? Why was he out at 2:00 in the morning? Maria Bartiromo will be among the Fox News Channel personnel taking a crack at leading “Fox News Primetime,” the cable-news outlet’s new opinion hour at 7 p.m.
Bartiromo, contributors Katie Pavlich, Rachel Campos-Duffy and former U.S. Representative Trey Gowdy, and frequent guest Mark Steyn are among those who will rotate as anchors on the program. Fox News launched an overhauled daytime lineup today that placed the former 7 p.m. anchor, Martha MacCallum, in the afternoons, and reserved the hour instead for an additional hour of opinion-based programming. Update, 6:48 Am: MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace and CNN’s Jake Tapper are among the anchors who called out attacks on the loyalty of Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, the decorated Purple Heart recipient who testified in the impeachment inquiry.
After playing a clip of Fox News host Laura Ingraham and her two guests, John Yoo and Alan Dershowitz, Wallace called them “chickenshit,” noting that Vindman “passed a background check that the president’s daughter and son-in-law didn’t.”
Tapper and other CNN anchors blasted some of the remarks of Sean Duffy, the former congressman and MTV’s Real World star who recently became a CNN special contributor. Earlier on Tuesday, Duffy suggested that Vindman was more concerned about Ukrainian defense than U.S. interests. Tapper said that Duffy “smeared” Vindman.

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace said Tuesday that Fox News and CNN pundits who suggested that Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, an official on the National Security Council, is disloyal and possibly a spy, are “chickens.”
Vindman, whose family emigrated to the U.S. from Soviet Ukraine in 1979, when he was 4, is a veteran of the Iraq War and a Purple Heart recipient. He testified before Congress Tuesday about a phone call in which Donald Trump attempted to pressure the Ukrainian president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, calling the effort “inappropriate.”
Prior to his testimony, several conservative commentators appeared to insinuate that Vindman is disloyal and may be a traitor. Among them were former Bush administration official John Yoo, Fox News host Laura Ingraham, and CNN commentator Sean Duffy.

Washington — The Trump-owned Republican Party showed no hesitation in attacking the integrity and credibility of Special Counsel Robert Mueller despite his being a Vietnam War veteran and Purple Heart winner. In the cult of Trump, defending the president outweighed any other concerns, including the Gop’s allegiance to anything involving “the troops.”
But what if the messenger were an active duty officer, a self-described “patriot” who, acting out of a “sense of duty” to his country, criticized President Trump’s actions? Would the Gop take this officer at his word...

Sean Duffy, the former congressman and cast member on MTV’s The Real World, has joined CNN as a political commentator.
Duffy debuted on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday with Jake Tapper.
In September, Duffy resigned his congressional seat after he and his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, learned that their new-born child would need surgery to address a heart defect. Their daughter was born on Oct. 1. The couple met when they were both appearing on MTV’s Road Rules: All Stars.

For more than 20 years, The Real World, Road Rules, and its competitive spin-off, The Challenge, have brought together some of the most memorable reality TV hookups. But what's more surprising is that many of these couples are still together — some with children! Although the shows are better known for drunken hot tub threesomes than long-term relationships, there have been several cast members throughout the Real World/Road Rules franchise who have happily found love. Take Sean Duffy and Rachel Campos, for instance. The two met during a Real World/Road Rules mash-up show back in 1998. The show captured their blooming romance in typical reality TV fashion — make-out sessions, hand-holding, confession-room flirting. But fans were shocked when not only did Sean and Rachel stay together, they got married and had children — eight of them, to be exact! _ And it doesn't stop there. Fan-favorite couple Melinda Stolp and Danny Jamieson also tied...
