3 More Sneak Peeks – Castle 2.07 "Famous Last Words"

1 November 2009 3:15 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Earlier today I posted a sneak peek for Monday's all new episode of Castle (definitely worth checking it out just to see Nathan Fillion play the guitar) and now ABC has released three more sneak peeks for your viewing pleasure.

When An Up-and-coming Rock Star Is Found Dead, Alexis Helps To Uncover Clues To The Killer's Indentity, On ABC's "Castle"

"Famous Last Words" — When an up-and-coming rock star's dead body is found staged in a scene straight out of her hit music video, Castle and Beckett delve into the world of obsessed fans, sleazy managers and jealous band members. But it's only when Alexis uncovers the true meaning behind the lyrics of the final song that clues to the killer's identity begin to surface, on "Castle," Monday, November 2 (10:02-11:00 p.m., Et/Pt) on ABC.

Promo, Photos & Synopsis – Castle 2.07 "Famous Last Words"

Is there anything better than Nathan Fillion?  If there is, I haven't found it yet.  He's just so awesome.  At everything.  Exhibit A: donning his old Firefly costume in the previous episode of Castle.  We like space cowboys too, Nathan.

On November 2 we get a new episode of Castle and we've got the synopsis, promo and promo photos to share with you below.

Am I going nuts or is the song for this promo video the same song that was used in Twilight during the vampire baseball scene?  Also, am I nuts for even knowing this?  The answer: yes.

Promo, Sneak Peek, Photos & Synopsis – Castle 2.06 "Vampire Weekend"

22 October 2009 5:35 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Basically, we have the whole enchilada for Monday's all new Halloween episode of Castle: promo photos, the promo, a sneak peek and a synopsis.

Take a good look at the sneak peek in particular, when we get a shout-out to two of Joss Whedon's shows!  Nathan Fillion dons his Captain Mal outfit from Firefly.  He also references Buffy in relation to how the victim died and, if my eyes don't deceive me, some of the gargoyles from the cemetery seem like they came from Buffy episodes or the DVD set.

Also, the mustache?  Not a good look for Fillion.

Castle: ABC Series Gets Full Season Order; Out of Cancellation Danger?

21 October 2009 12:54 PM, PDT | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

ABC gave sophomore series Castle an order for nine additional episodes yesterday, bringing the season order to 22 installments. With decent ratings, can fans of the show relax? Is it safe from cancellation?

Castle revolves around an egotistical novelist (Nathan Fillion) who teams up with a police detective (Stana Katic) to solve crimes in the Big Apple. The drama also features Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Tamala Jones, Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever.

Last season, Castle averaged 10.32 million viewers and a 3.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This season, Castle has been averaging a bit more than 10 million viewers and is down to a 2.5 rating. The numbers have bumped up a bit in the past couple of weeks and it's been suggested that that news was encouraging enough for ABC to give it a full season order. »

ABC Gives 'Castle', Nathan Fillion the Back Nine

20 October 2009 9:20 PM, PDT | CinemaSpy | See recent CinemaSpy news »

ABC has crowned Canadian actor Nathan Fillion with a full-season order of Castle. The network picked up the back nine episodes, reports Variety, despite the fact that ratings have been unspectacular (a chronic problem for many shows right now, frankly).

The series has garnered second place among the broadcasters in its Monday night 10pm timeslot, averaging a 2.5 rating/7 share among adults 18-49 and 10.1 million viewers overall, reports the trade. The show has had a slight uptick in recent weeks, and improved its performance over last year at the sam time by 4%, prompting the network's choice to pick it up.

In the show, Fillion stars as a novelist who helps a police detective (Stana Katic) solve crimes. Joining Fillion are castmembers Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Tamala Jones, Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever.

Sharp genre aficionados will recognize the names Rob Bowman (The X-Files, Reign of Fire) and René Echevarria (Star Trek, »

Castle Season One DVD Review

16 October 2009 8:10 AM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

The one-hour cop/murder mystery drama. Has there been a genre that has been as used as this? How is a writer/producer supposed to create something in this genre that hasn’t been done to death? Well, the creator of Castle has done a pretty good job with creating a cop/murder mystery drama that has a great mix of story, strong characters, humor and heart. My review after the jump:

Castle gets it’s name from the main character Richard Castle played by Nathan Fillion. Richard Castle is a rich and famous murder/mystery novelist who at the opening of the series is on the verge of releasing his latest book in his “Derek Storm” series. Everyone is sure to love it. The only problem is that Castle has decided to kill off his golden goose in this book because he’s lost the spark in writing for the character. »

Castle: Is a Beckett-Castle Kiss in the Cards?

Nathan Fillion's character on Castle doesn't take many things seriously, something that perhaps has rubbed off on the actor.

When asked what he thinks will lure viewers into the ABC procedural dramedy's second season, the 38-year-old former Firefly and Desperate Housewives star cracks jokes. "This season we decided to go with no hooks, no hooks at all," Fillion tells TVGuide.com. "That's become our mantra: no hooks, let's just coast. One episode, we actually take an episode from the first season and just changed everybody's names and filmed it again."

Sneak Peaks – Castle 2.02 "The Double Down"

26 September 2009 8:37 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

I love Castle.  It has everything.  Fun murders (if such a thing could exist), a terrific supporting cast and, best of all, Nathan Filion.  He's just so great at….well, everything.  Castle's next new episode airs on Monday, September 28 and it's Castle and Beckett against Ryan and Esposito (who are definitely part of that great, funny supporting cast).

Thanks to ABC, we've got 4 sneak peaks for the episode.
