- Aza Declercq is a Belgian actress, with over 26 years' of professional experience in the field. She studied drama at the Lemmensinstitute of Leuven, continued her studies in Classical and Modern Dance at the School of performing arts/Conservatoire, Antwerp, and took classes at Cours Florent (Paris), at Troubleyn by Viviane de Mynck and Emio Greco.
In 2017 she was nominated as Best Actress for the Maverick Movie awards and in 2018 for The Universal Film Festival, US.
Aza performed in her career a wide range of roles, amongst them she played a small part as the 'prostitute' next to Leonardo di Caprio in 'Total Eclipse', the 'Mother' in the Academy Award Nominated Short 'Fait d'Hivers' and 'Janice' in the French production 'The things they left behind', which won the First Prize at the Festival Européen du film fantastique de Strasbourg.
Aza was also one of the main voices for over seven years for ACHT (television)-and for over five years for Canvas. She's a frequently asked Voice Over for commercials, audio guides, e-learning books, animation movies, etc.
For the past couple of years, Aza Declercq has also been active as a writer and a director. In 2016, she wrote and directed her first short film 'La Muerte de Cupido ', in 2017 she finished her second short film 'Sisters' and in 2019 her third short 'Heritage'. Currently Aza is working on the script of her first feature film 'A Thing to feed'.
