- Frank Dailey was born in 1901 in Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA. He died on February 27, 1956 in Montclair, New Jersey, USA.
- Violist and bandleader on the east coast who ran several orchestras from the early 1920s. One of his best bands spotted arranger Joe Mooney and trumpeters Ralph Muzzillo and Corky Cornelius, as well as pianist Arnold Ross. Dailey's chief claim to fame, however, lay in his ownership of the Meadowbrook in Cedar Grove, New Jersey(1931-1956). The Meadowbrook was one of the most desired locations for aspiring swing bands of the era, added to by the fact that nightly performances were broadcast nationwide.
