Jeff Ryan, Scott Cohen, Katerina Tannenbaum, Geneva Carr and Will Chase will star in “Mooch.” The crime comedy was also written and directed by Ryan, whose credits include “Mean Spirited” and “YouthMin.”
The filmmakers received an interim agreement to work on this independent production during last year’s SAG-Afrtra strike. It recently wrapped production in Lexington, Mass.
The movie focuses on a 30-year-old caddy named Shane (Ryan), who winds up with an unexpected gig as a personal private eye for a New Jersey nightclub owner. Even though he inches closer to realizing his ambitions, his personal life spirals out of control.
“When I was in high school, my friend’s dad told me I was going to fail in life because I was a ‘Mooch,’” said Ryan. “Making this film was a dream come true, and I am proud to put my dirty laundry on screen for all to enjoy.

Jason Coleman has slammed swimwear model Lara Bingle during her guest stint on the Australian version of Celebrity Apprentice. Choreographer Coleman and politician Pauline Hanson were teamed up with guest celebrities Bingle and radio presenter Jono Coleman as Team Unity, and were asked to present a children's play at a local Sydney school. Team leader Coleman called Bingle a "waste of space" when she walked on stage too early, while Hanson became frustrated when the model didn't purchase all the props and costumes needed for the production. The children watching the performance described the So You Think You Can Dance Australia judge as "crazy" and "mean", as he desperately tried to save the show based on 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. Blind singer, 24 year old Andrew Coleman, is hoping for X Factor success, but as Louis Walsh dumped him from Popstars The Rivals five years ago, Andrew’s worried that the same thing may happen again.
The Sun reports that when Louis refused to put Andrew through to the next round on Popstars – as Louis believed Andrew couldn’t cope with dance routines – he and fellow judge Pete Waterman “fell out” over the decision.
Andrew, who’s a friend of former X Factor winner Joe McElderry, has congenital glaucoma which was made worse when he was the victim of an attack in 2006.
However, determined not to give up on his dream of becoming a professional singer, Andrew was at the X Factor auditions last week.
A friend of Andrew’s told the paper, “He hopes this will be his big break. The whole of Liverpool will be willing him to win.

Patrick Kielty has admitted that he enjoyed presenting ITV’s Celebrity Love Island, despite the fact that it damaged his presenting career.
The Irish comedian fronted the two series of the show in 2005 and 2006 alongside Kelly Brook and Fearne Cotton, he reportedly feuded with Brook the whole way through seres one.
Kielty told Metro: “I had fun and got paid. It was in Fiji and we had a great time. We just had to go in and watch Paul Danan and Sophie Anderton have meltdowns and spent the rest of the day on the beach.”
On whether fronting the show affected his career he added: “Of course it does. Generally if you’re in a bad show you don’t get work and if you’re in a good show you do. I came home with my tan and wondered why the phone wasn’t ringing. Luckily it didn’t last too long.
