Lead singer of the Los Angeles-based band Left of Zed, which has recently been renamed Viva La Union.

John was raised in Los Angeles.

Graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in English-language literature.

Has worked with actor Eddie Kaye Thomas on six different occasions. They both appeared in the movies American Pie (1999), American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003), Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004), and Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008). They also co-starred together in the WB's short-lived sitcom "Off Centre" (2001).

Along with Alex Kalognomos and Eva Mendes, he attended Herbert Hoover High School.

Cho immigrated to Los Angeles in 1978, when he was just six years old.

(August 2004) Summer 2004 - Releases album "Furious Bloom" with his band Left of Zed for which he is the lead singer. Releases the film Harold and Kumar go to White Castle of which he is the star. Filmed a pilot for NBC to premiere in the fall.
