After graduating from the University of Hong Kong with a major in
English literature and psychology, did graduate work in drama and
creative writing at Bristol University in England. Returned to Hong
Kong in 1978 to become the chief writer and director at a Hong Kong TV
station. In 1981, began further graduate work in the U.S., taking a
Master's degree in film studies from New York University.

Graduate of English literature & psychology in Hong-Kong, she started
studying drama in the UK. After she came back to Hong-Kong, working for
HK R.&T.V, she is flying again, this time for New York, where she will
achieve her cinematographic skills (1980-1983). Her first movie : "The
illegal immigrants", directed in 1984 (for the Shaw Brothers) and
featuring Chow Yung Fat, is also the first page of a trilogy who's
concern with chinese immigration, followed by "an autumn's tale" (1987)
and achieved with "Eight tales of gold" in 1989. She also collaborate
in Alex LAW's "Painted Faces" in 1988. Her last movies are "Now you see
love, now you don't" (1992)in which she is acting and the
three-SOONG-sister's-life-based :"SOONG Sisters, The". ( the soong
sister's were SUN Yat Sen, S.Y.S Prime Minister and Chang Kai Chek's
spouses.)
