It turns out she is attending a wedding, and as soon as she is out, she is met by her mother and the mother of the groom, obviously a relative, asking the typical questions regarding the whether she has a boyfriend. Emily replies negatively, while the discussion eventually turns to Vincent, who...

While The Crown's first two seasons largely focus on Queen Elizabeth II's taking over of the British throne, she is not the only member of the royal family depicted. Her husband, her mother, and her sister, Princess Margaret, are all central characters to the plot as well, with Margaret's story taking center stage a few times in season two. Episode four in particular focuses on Margaret's romance and marriage to Antony Armstrong-Jones, a rebellious photographer who is one of the few people not to treat Margaret like an untouchable princess. When he photographs her in a pose that makes it appear as though she is naked, scandal rocks the UK when the racy (for the time) photograph is splashed across the pages of the newspapers. So, just how accurate is The Crown when it comes to this scandal? And what can we expect from the series as it...

Image Source: Netflix The Crown's depiction of Antony Armstrong-Jones and Princess Margaret's volatile relationship is pretty spot on. Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones married in May 1960, and afterwards the dapper photographer became Lord Snowdon. The couple quickly became a symbol of the "swinging sixties" because of their reckless lifestyle of drug- and alcohol-fueled affairs. Lord Snowdon was appropriately deemed the first "royal rebel" because of his clear disdain for convention. Lord Snowdon was involved in many affairs over the course of his marriage to the Princess. Most notably though, he was involved with a dancer named Jacqui Chan who he called his first love and an actress named Gina Ward just like in The Crown. There were also several other undocumented mistresses throughout his relationship with Margaret. Amidst the several affairs, Lord Snowdon's tangled love life gets even more complicated. Just like on the show, Lord Snowdon did father Camilla Fry's child,...

‘Things Blowing Up Good’ has been surefire entertainment since the beginning of cinema, but this ill-fated Cinerama extravaganza about the biggest explosion in recorded human history limps along despite some pretty darned impressive volcanic effects. It’s quite an entertaining spectacle, with various good performers in three soap opera plots, either overacting or loitering about with nothing to do. And don’t forget the from-left-field musical striptease.

Actors from the lavish 1963 classic recall bedlam on set, Richard Burton-Elizabeth Taylor romance ... and paparazzi galore
Jacqui Chan, actor
By the time I was cast as Cleopatra's handmaiden, the whole production had moved from London – where the cold weather had affected Elizabeth Taylor's health – to Rome. Filming restarted from scratch, the script was rewritten and much of the cast replaced. I was unaware of all that behind-the-scenes chaos, but being on set was bedlam. There were hundreds of extras, who had to be lumped together by nationality so the assistant directors could address them en masse in their own languages. It was all a bit crazy.
The sets were as lavish in real life as they appear on screen – no wonder the budget soared out of control. I wore an antique headdress made of beaten gold and coral that belonged in a museum. Whenever my shoot...
