When “Naked Killer” starring Chingmy Yau came out in 1992 and became a cult favorite, producer and scripter Wong Jing followed it up with “Naked Weapon” in 2002 ten years later starring Maggie Q. Fast forward another ten years, the prolific filmmaker Wong resurfaced with another installment of his erotic girls-with-guns thriller “Naked Soldier” this time starring Jennifer Tse and Sammo Hung in the lead.

What's old is new again. Exactly two decades ago, notorious filmmaker Wong Jing produced Naked Killer, a "Girls With Guns" film that became a Hong Kong cult classic due to its graphic violence and explicit sexual nature. He then followed it up a decade later with Naked Weapon, an unrelated film but containing similar themes. Now he's at it once again in this decade with Naked Soldier and while times have changed, the level of sex and violence continues to stay the same. I thought it was about time i did a post on the great vampire buster of all time, yes you got it, lam Ching Ying. This will be listing all the movies and tv series where Lam Ching Ying either stars in or takes on the hopping vampires and evil spirits.
His roles in the Mr.Vampire movies show his skills as an actor, with great comic timing which goes well with his serious acting side, which we normally get to see on screen. This role would make him, not just a big star in Asia but also worldwide as the master of Vampire killers.
Other great movies which he starred in (But not in a vampire movie) were the likes of The Prodigal Son, School On Fire, Eastern Condors, The Magnificent Butcher and Painted Faces.
I have been a big fan of these movies since i first watched Mr.

It’s time again for that most uniquely Hong Kong of genres, the ghost comedy romance, with the re-release of the 1991 outing “Pretty Ghost”. Offering the usual mix of slapstick gags, ghostly goings on and improbable human-spirit relations, the film handed Tony Leung Ka Fai (“Election”) an early, if not particularly dignified leading role, and boasted a couple of gorgeous leading ladies in the shapely forms of Rosamund Kwan (best known for her roles in the Jet Li “Once Upon a Time in China” films) and Ellen Chan (a popular actress at the time, who also featured in...
