Of all the new releases, we’re particularly interested in the Blu-ray versions of movies and TV shows such as Blood: The Last Vampire, Easy Rider and the first seasons of Hawaii Five-o and Vega$. Plus, I think some movie with lots of robots, explosions and Megan Fox also came out this week as well.
Check them out.

It almost feels like we do as much press for Chris Nahon's Blood: The Last Vampire as we do for that little Rob Zombie movie which will be kicking around in August. After all, what better way to counter-attack the mind-numbing effects of the new Haddonfield than with a hot Asian chick swinging a sword and cutting up the demonic foes that come her way?

Okay, I’ll admit not knowing much about the “Blood: The Last Vampire” other than it seems to be a favorite of anime- and manga-savvy friends of mine. But after seeing how well “Death Note,” one of my favorite series, was translated to the live-action medium, I’m willing to give anything a shot.
Samuel Goldwyn Films has released a big batch of images from the upcoming, live-action adaptation of “Blood:The Last Vampire,” which stars Gianna Jun as Saya, a 400-year-old, half-vampire assassin on a covert mission in Vietnam-era Japan. Tasked with infiltrating a military school to discover the identity of a hidden demon, Saya has to find out which one of her classmates is the deadly creature preying on humans.
Over at SciFi Wire, they’ve posted 10 of the images that were released today, but here’s a few of the pics that haven’t been seen elsewhere yet: »

Finally, here's a more detailed synopsis for the flick: On the surface, Saya is a stunning 16-year-old girl, but that youthful exterior hides the tormented soul of a 400-year-old “halfling”. Samuel Goldwyn Films sent over the latest English trailer for “Blood: The Last Vampire” yesterday, and today they’ve returned with the latest poster. It features the main character Saya with her trusty swords. The girl in the small background pic, I believe, is Masiela Lusha of The George Lopez Show. Not sure why they decided to feature her in the poster with Gianna Jun, since as far as I know she’s a minor character in the movie. Action-horror-thriller movie "Blood: The Last Vampire" has welcomed its new trailer, less than two months after its full-length Japanese trailer debuted in March. The more than one-minute footage, which is exclusively featured on ShockTillYouDrop.com, begins with a scene showing its main character Saya fighting her enemy inside a moving train. And as the video keeps rolling, more of Saya's fighting scenes are exposed. She is mostly seen in the trailer using her samurai skills to fight her foes.
Based on a 2000 anime film of the same title which was produced by Production I.G and Aniplex, "Blood: The Last Vampire" centers its story on Saya, a 16-year-old girl who was born to a human father and a vampire mother. Growing up as a loner, she is obsessed with using her samurai skills to rid the world of vampires, all the while knowing that she herself can survive only on blood like those she hunts. »
