Gerry Butler is listening to a little Rob Base & DJ E-z Rock
Photo: Warner Bros. The ladies love Gerard Butler, girls adore him. I mean even the ones who never saw him like the way we looked in 300, the reason why, man, I don't know so let's go, 'cause we just added 26 new images from Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla. Are they anything out of sight? Nah, but it takes 26 pics to make a thing go right and we have 31 pics to bring you into the light. To check out the pics click here. RocknRolla hits theaters on October 31 and centers on a Russian mobster who orchestrates a crooked land deal, millions of dollars are up for grabs, and all of London's criminal underworld wants in on the action. Everyone from a dangerous crime lord to a sexy accountant, a corrupt politician and down-on-their-luck petty thieves conspire, collude and collide with

It doesn't matter how violent this film may be, you know Gerard Butler is going to have that core group of Butler lovers creaming the seats when this thing hits theaters. I don't know what it is about the man but he has a flock of ladies following him like loons and based on the response he got at Comic Con it is more than just an online following. Hell, he even laughed at a woman asking her, "What the f**k are you wearing?" and she just smiled and said, "I still love your work." Sheesh. The film is RocknRolla and it is Guy Ritchie's return to the films that made him a name. Films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. We don't count Revolver because really, what the hell was that? And we certainly ignore Swept Away as that film never found love from anyone.

DVD Links: Release Dates | New Dvds | Reviews | RSS Feed Star Trek - The Complete Second Season (Remastered) It's a light week for DVD releases and that is a good thing since you all need to shell out some extra dollars for the second season of the original series of "Star Trek" as Paramount releases the remastered episodes in all their glory. I am a bit upset that I currently have the HD DVD/DVD edition of the first season and now I have to add the DVD only second season to my collection without any high definition just as I will in the recently announced third season of the remastered set when it hits in November. However, Paramount hasn't sent me the second season for review yet (and who knows if they will) so I can't comment on the set itself, but I do know if they don't send it

Gerard Butler's upcoming scifi actioner Game has been delayed until 2009 due to complications with some of the films complex visual FX work. The announcement was made by producer Gary Lucchesi at a recent press junket for the film Henry Poole is Dead. Apparently, no official date has been set for the film, but I imagine going toe to toe with flicks like Transformers 2, Terminator: Salvation, Avatar, and the J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot will only make setting the release date harder to figure out. I only hope that Game doesn't get some wet behind the ears limited release followed by a quick dump out on DVD. That would suck. Lucchesi went on to say that he expects some teaser footage to appear around Christmas. You can read more about Game here.

Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla, starring Gerard Butler and Thandie Newton, is due for release by Warner Bros in October in the States. However, producer Joel Silver is out and about shopping it to studios such as Lionsgate and Sony Pictures. Why is this? The Los Angeles Times explains, Silver was looking for a buyer for the film. People who've seen the film say it's not bad at all. But as Warners goes through the arduous process of absorbing two dozen or so New Line films into its distribution system, the studio simply has too many…

Gerry Butler seems upset about the news...
Photo: Warner Bros. I can't say a new blog post at the Los Angeles Times surprises me much as it points out Joel Silver is out and about shopping his upcoming Guy Ritchie feature RocknRolla to studios such as Lionsgate and Sony Pictures. But that movie is already at Warner Bros. you say. Well, it appears that after absorbing New Line and smaller film house Warner Independent Pictures the studio is lounging around with too many films to release. Supposedly they have brought in something like two dozen or so New Line films and word is they are starting to pick out the weak calves from the herd. So RocknRolla is a weak calf? Not necessarily. Patrick Goldstein for the La Times spoke with Warners chief Alan Horn and he had this to say about RocknRolla, "I think it's a well-made picture, but while it's funny in spots,

Sting and Trudie Styler kept rocking after the last Police concert of all time was over at Madison Square Garden Thursday.
After midnight, the couple headed downtown to The Box, where they watched the freaky performers up close from a booth with friends including Gerard Butler.
"Sting looked dapper in tux pants and a tux shirt, and Trudie was in tight jeans. They were drinking champagne," said our source. "So many women were hitting on Gerard, but [at the end of the night] he left alone."
At one point during the Box show,

Summer is going to hit the brakes pretty hard on August 22nd, and for about four weeks, we won't have that many high profile new releases. A lot of that has to do with the Toronto Film Festival, which goes for a couple of weeks right after Labor Day. Although I don't think it's Labor Day in Canada.
Regardless, business begins to pick up again around the third week in September, and goes at least three movies deep for about six straight weeks. September 19th has eight releases with big stars, and on October 10th, against competition that includes City of Ember and Quarantine, Guy Ritchie's latest, the all-too-familiar-looking RocknRolla, will hit theaters. It's actually the best possible weekend of that time period for the movie to debut. In terms of films that will share its audience, RocknRolla can avoid Saw V, Zack and Miri, and Max Payne in the rest of October,

Photo: RopeofSilicon.com Two years ago the big winner to come out of Comic Con was Warner Bros. and 300. Following its massive presence it went on to gross $210 million. A tally that could not have been matched had it not been for the massive buzz following a hard R-rated preview reel that left audiences asking to see it over and over again. Last year it was Paramount's turn with Iron Man. Many, such as myself, were hesitant to believe a metal suit of armor could fly. We were proven wrong and the preview reel presented by Jon Favreau blew us all away and then went on to earn $314 million at the box-office, which is a highly impressive number for a non-Spider-Man/Superman/Batman superhero. So, the big question is what was this year's big hit? I am sure some of you guessed it by the headline, but let's take

Warner Brothers has debuted the first quad-sized teaser poster for Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla, the British filmmaker's latest gangster extravaganza. Even if you're not a Ritchie fan and even if you really didn't like the trailer, you've got to admit that the imagery for this movie is pretty freakin' sweet. Of course it is Ritchie's unique stylized looks, but I'll never get sick of it, especially with Gerard Butler or Jeremy Piven's face on the poster instead of Brad Pitt or Jason Statham. We saw an extended trailer at Comic-Con over the weekend and it kicked as much ass as the first trailer, so I'll admit I'm still excited. But for the rest of you that aren't yet convinced, well, this poster isn't going to change your mind but at least it's cool to look at! Am I the only one who is really looking forward to RocknRolla? What

"That seems like... a crazy idea," "300" director Zack Snyder said upon being offered the adaptation of "Watchmen," Alan Moore's revered graphic novel that's defied all earlier attempts to be brought to the big screen. "Once they asked me, I kinda felt responsible -- even if I said no, they would have moved on, and then whatever happened to the movie, I still would have had my chance... If the movie, for whatever reason didn't turn out, it would have been still my fault. So I figured, might as well make it my fault anyway."
The hotly anticipated superhero film isn't headed to theaters until March 6, 2009, but a recently released trailer has fans chomping at the bit. At Comic-Con's panel for the film, Snyder reassured the crowd that he's attempted to stay as true to the graphic novel as possible, with "Watchmen" artist Dave Gibbons at his side, claiming that
