Screen Australia has announced its latest funding round, with $3 million in production and development funding split between two Indigenous TV projects, eight multiplatform projects, eight feature films, and two individuals and two companies.
The two Indigenous television projects to have received production investment are:

The Nsw Government has invested over $2 million to secure four new feature films, four television drama series and four factual TV series, as well as several one-off documentaries, a web series and a multiplatform project. The productions are predicted to create 1080 new screen jobs and generate a direct production spend of almost $35 million in Nsw. Included among them is Ten.s recently announced mini-series Wake In Fright, the first local production to be supported under the Screen Nsw.s $20 million Made in Nsw Fund. The other 15 productions are being supported through the Film Production Finance Fund. According to Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant the fund can now support many more local film and television productions because funds have been freed-up by the Made in Nsw Fund. Blue Zoo, a new TV adventure documentary series, will put eight teenagers- four Aussies and four from Ireland- through a training course at an Australian marine rescue park.

The series of 13 half-hour episodes is the first from Sally Browning and Dean Cropp.s Air Pig Productions, co-produced with David Atkins Enterprises.
The show was commissioned by ABC3 Australia and RTÉ Young Peoples, Ireland. Browning told If that she and Cropp got the idea while working in the fields of marine and animal conservation and protecting the environment.
The eight rookies- casting is underway- will spend seven weeks at a Nsw marine wildlife park with dolphins, seals and turtles who have been rescued and rehabilitated or born into human care at the park.
Aged 14-16, they will hone their communication, science, creative and team-building skills under the supervision and guidance of marine experts.

An Australian film-maker has been appointed investment manager for drama at Screen Australia.
Sally Regan, producer of Forbidden Lie$ comes to the role direct from Screen Nsw where she was development and production executive, working across documentaries, features and television drama.
From 1999-2003 Regan was business affairs manager of documentary production at Film Australia, the fore-runner to Screen Australia along with the Film Finance Corporation Australia and the Australian Film Commission, before the four government agencies merged.
Regan will replace outgoing investment manager Sally Browning. The position begins on Monday 16 July.
Ross Matthews, Screen Australia’s head of production investment said: “I am extremely pleased that Sally Regan has agreed to join our Production Investment team. She brings a wealth of experience both in screen production and agency investment management. I have no doubt Sally will be a valuable addition to the team and will forge strong relationships with the industry.
