ABC’s groundbreaking family drama Life Goes On is getting a new lease on you-know-what.
Warner Bros. Television is developing a revival of the ’90s series, with original cast member Kellie Martin (Becca) set to star and produce. Chad Lowe, whose HIV-positive character Jesse died in the original show, will return solely as a producer. (An earlier version of this story hinted at a possible on screen return for Lowe, but a Warner Bros. rep has since shot down that speculation.)

Nkechi Okoro Carroll is staying in business with Warner Bros.
The All American showrunner is rebooting classic ABC drama Life Goes On and is launching her own production company Rock My Soul Productions, with ex-Agbo exec and former WME agent Lindsay Dunn as Head of Television, as part of a major overall deal renewal with the studio.
Deadline understands that Warner Bros. beat out a number of other bidders to resign Okoro Carroll in a deal that is thought to be well into eight figures.
“I am so excited to continue my partnership with Channing Dungey, Brett Paul and the extended WarnerMedia family,” Okoro Carroll said. “We’ve only just scratched the surface of the stories we want to tell together. Our mission at Rock My Soul Productions is to create content that leaves the world a little bit of a better place than how we found it. Warner Bros.

He's been a grappler, a governor, an "extreme" football analyst, a social commentator and now ... a sitcom star? Sources say NBC is in talks with Jesse Ventura to star in a scripted comedy series. No deals have been finalized, but it's understood that Ventura, the one-time pro wrestler who served as governor of Minnesota from 1999-2003, is kicking around ideas and meeting with writers for a possible deal at the peacock. NBC declined comment. Sources said Jeff Golenberg and Michael Green of management-production outfit the Collective, which does not represent Ventura, approached him with the notion of starring in a comedy series targeted for NBC. It's understood that if a deal does come to fruition, Golenberg and Green would serve as executive producers on the show along with Ventura's managers, Michael Braverman and Barry Bloom. Ventura had a short-lived Saturday night series, Jesse Ventura's America, that ran for two months on MSNBC in 2003. He also was seen on NBC in 2001 as an analyst for the peacock's Xtreme Football League venture with World Wrestling Entertainment. Ventura also is repped by WMA and attorney Brad Small.

Eric Bross, who directed Miramax Films' On the Line, is reteaming with the studio on the family action-comedy Project Bigfoot. There is no start date on the project as it is in development. Bigfoot is a wish-fulfillment adventure set in the world of monster trucks. It is described as being in the vein of Spy Kids meets Herbie, the Love Bug as the truck -- though it is nonspeaking -- has its own distinct personality. The project is based on an idea by Martha Chang and Michael Braverman, who are producing. Miramax's Bob Osher and Laura Rister are overseeing.
