Monroeville, Pa, has seen its share of horrors from zombies to monsters. Add to that the most recent invasion of ghouls and beasties known as HorrorHound Weekend, which ran from Friday, June 20, to Sunday, June 22. While it wasn't what most would call a big convention, there were celebs a-plenty for dedicated horror fans to rub shoulders with.
Headlining the show was American Werewolf in London director John Landis along with stars Griffin Dunne and David Naughton, who hosted a Friday screening of the famous lycanthrope film. After the movie, there was a showing of the documentary Beware the Moon, followed by a Q&A panel. However, as it was the first night, there were not many convention-goers present. Even though the convention wasn't over until 10 p.m., it seemed most people were waiting until Saturday.
Saturday saw the convention in full swing with over 1,000 fans in attendance. Among the guests signing autographs were Jason Mewes,

Doug Bradley (whom most genre fans recognize as Pinhead from the Hellraiser franchise) unveiled the first episode of his new production companie's horror shorts series Spinechillers at this past weekend's Horrorhound convention in Pittsburgh, Pa. The first 17 minute episode titled The Outsider is based on the H.P. Lovecraft short story. A preview can be viewed on-line at This link! Bloody-Disgusting is reporting exclusively that the 2nd episode planned will be Edgar Allen Poe's The Tell-tale Heart, while the third episode on queue is W.W. Jacobs' The Monkey's Paw.
Bradley explained the origins behind both his new production company Renegade Arts Entertainment Ltd, as well as the Spinechillers series on his official website DougBradley.com. Here's his statement:
"It's time to announce The Outsider.
To begin at the beginning: Since the turn of the year, I am a director of a new production company based in Brighton, called Renegade Arts Entertainment Ltd.

Tara Reid and Brad Dourif have joined the cast of Andrew Jones's The Beautiful Outsiders, according to the IMDb. The duo join the previously announced Doug Bradley, Cameron Douglas, David Hess, Adam Deacon, Sarah Barrand, Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Claire King and John Fallon. Six years after parting ways, lovestruck reformed drug addicts Jason Starkweather and Sarah Fugate desperately try to escape their individual problems and reunite. But the course of true love never runs smoothly.
