- Jerome Blake debuted as an actor with a part as one of the knights guarding Sean Connery in First Knight (1995). After playing a succession of roles, Nick Dudman Creature effects supremo called him to say: "I'm doing Star Wars now". After Jerome congratulated him, Nick simply said "Do you want to be in it?" Blake - a Star Wars fan since he saw the first movie on its opening day back in 1977- immediately said yes. A year later he had Seven different characters in "Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace". - Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace was filmed at Leavesdon Studios, England, where Jerome was cast as Mas Amedda in the Senate scenes. The Senate scenes in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones were shot in Australia, where Australian actor David Bowers was filmed. Jerome did ADR voice over work, for same in London.
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the original Senate scenes were shot in Australia, but for additional photography, new Senate scenes were written, which were filmed in England. For those scenes, Blake reprised the role.
In the credits for "Episode 3 a Revenge of the Sith" Jerome received a "special thanks to" credit. - All of the footage of Oppo Rancisis is actually re-used footage from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
