Reba McEntire is staying booked and busy in 2022, with the upcoming release of her Lifetime film The Hammer, shooting underway on ABC’s Big Sky, and a concert tour kicking off this fall. What this means is that a revival of her popular series Reba will have to wait, although, she says, it’s a project she would love to explore.
“So many obstacles,” McEntire told Deadline about what’s keeping the revival from happening. “The TV business changes so much that sometimes reboots are hot and then they’re not. Plus getting everyone scheduled together is also hard. Steve Howie is very busy, and so is Joanna Garcia. Mellisa [Peterman] is doing wonderful and here we are making a movie together. I guess timing and schedule will dictate that in the future.”

Can college sweethearts found love again years later, during the holiday season, no less?
We would like to think that they can, and that's the question that's posed on Let's Meet Again on Christmas Eve.
Kyla Pratt, a Lifetime Christmas film veteran, returns this holiday season as Corrine, a young woman who may have let the love of her life go after college.
According to the synopsis, Corrine and Rob (Brooks Darnell) were young sweethearts with their lives ahead of them, but when they jumped on individual opportunities on opposite sides of the globe, they parted ways.
However, they made a deal. Corrine and Rob both agreed that two years later, on Christmas Eve, they would meet up once more to determine if they truly were meant for one another.
But, of course, life had other plans, and it left one of them at their spot waiting, and the other person didn't show.

Based on a short story by Stephen King, this manqué misfire makes up in sheer dullness what it lacks in actual entertainment value. Christian Slater stars along with a D-list cast of actors who struggle valiantly to make something out of Director Jeff Beesley’s tedious vision.
Advertised as “A twisted tale of murder and revenge”, this direct-to-video tranquilizer twists all the suspense and intrigue out of King’s story. The original tale took a simple, basic revenge plot and made it interesting due to King’s amazing writing style and the way he took us inside the protagonist’s mind , describing a slow descent into insanity. Neither of these elements is on display in the film version, which only leaves us with the standard, unremarkable tale of a man who wants revenge for the death of his wife. As if there haven’t been enough films with that premise.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans I saw this film last year but never went on to review it. Some films you just don't really have anything necessary to say, and for me this was one of those films. I could have written about how there are a ton of lizards and one scene in particular that is so out of left field it actually works inside the madness it created, but to me it was just one more element to Herzog's temporary insanity that was Bad Lieutenant. I have no interest in seeing this film again and this paragraph is really all I have left to say about it, although I know it has its supporters that will likely say otherwise. To each their own, this one just didn't really do much for me. The Lord of the Rings...

As an adaptation of Stephen King’s short story of the same name, Jeff Beesley’s “Dolan’s Cadillac” is probably too straightforward and unambitious for its own good, which may be ironic to hear, as most of King’s stories that have gone off the rails as movies have been because of their lack of faith to the source material. Although it’s been ages since I last read the King story, much of the movie adaptation feels familiar, and I can’t say if the cinematic version deviates significantly enough from the story to crow about. There are differences, of course, the biggest being a deeper understanding of Dolan’s criminal activities, a necessity given that the story was told from the first-person perspective of the main character, Robinson, who had no inside dish on Dolan and only saw him as a bogeyman coming and going. Curious, then,...

Supported by a trio of great actors - Wes Bentley, Christian Slater, and Emmanuelle Vaugier - Canadian director Jeff Beesley's adaptation of Stephen King'Dolan's Cadillac ranks high on our list of films to watch for in 2009. In many ways a modern take on Poe's classic short story about revenge, "The Cask of Amontillado," Dolan's Cadillac is is a hardcore revenge tale about a school teacher who's determined to track down a viscous Las Vegas mobster who is responsible for his wife's death.
You see before you the first teaser poster that has dropped for the film and I gotta say I like the gritty ambiguity of it. Nothing flashy going on here. It doesn't rely on using any of the actors' faces to sell its it story but the best thing is that it's not so literal as to have a giant Cadillac on it. That poster will no doubt surface later.
