In the early 1950s, George Becwar appeared on stage in Los Angeles,
joining a touring production of "Outward Bound," which was his final
work in the theater. The cast of "Outward Bound" was headed by
Kate Davenport (silent screen actress, also in her final role), Nancy Lavinia (
Ava Gardner's youngest sister) and (later to be writer/ director/producer)
Dirk Wayne Summers. The L.A. Times theater critic said, "George Becwar gives a towering performance in "Outward Bound".
