He’s an amazing actor. I was so excited to do ‘Road House’ with Jake Gyllenhaal. He’s an insane actor. Every time, you’re learning. Sydney Sweeney is in her letting-loose era.
The “Euphoria” and “White Lotus” Emmy nominee told IndieWire that upcoming rom-com “Anyone but You” unlocked a new level of comedy in her career. Sweeney marks her first foray into the romantic comedy genre alongside “Top Gun: Maverick” breakout and “Set It Up” leading man Glen Powell for the rated-r comedy, co-starring Dermot Mulroney, Rachel Griffiths, Alexandra Shipp, Michelle Hurd, Darren Barnett, Hadley Robinson, Bryan Brown, and Gata.
“I feel like I learned from everybody. I worked with Dermot, Rachel, [director] Will Gluck. Everybody on set were just comedy legends,” Sweeney said while on the red carpet for HBO’s New York screening of her upcoming “Reality.” “I feel like we just laughed every day.”
She added, “That’s what I learned, which was to have fun and be crazy and let loose and not be self-conscious about anything.”

Devi Vishwakumar isn’t ready to say goodbye, and neither are we.
After losing her virginity to Ben Gross (Jaren Lewinson), Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is ready for her final year of high school, with eyes on the Princeton prize in the trailer for “Never Have I Ever” Season 4 — the final batch of episodes for the Netflix series, which drop June 8 on the streamer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without her besties Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola (Lee Rodriquez) by her side as they conquer college applications, prom and graduation.
It looks like some special guest stars will appear in this final season of Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher’s comedy series. Ken Marino can be glimpsed driving the girls to prom in a limo. Michael Cimino (“Love Victor”) has been crowned new king of the hot pocket, and his character Ethan has gotten, well, hotter over the summer.

The film is directed by Will Gluck from a script co-written by Ilana Wolpert. The cast additionally includes Dermot Mulroney, Rachel Griffiths, Alexandra Shipp, Michelle Hurd, Darren Barnett, Hadley Robinson, Bryan Brown, and Gata.
Lead star Sweeney is executive producing for her Fifty-Fifty banner. Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and director Gluck are also executive producing, with Gluck’s Olive Bridge Entertainment...

Gran Turismo, Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming feature adaptation of the best-selling PlayStation video game, captures “all the exhilarating aspects of auto racing and the game,” enthused Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, as he introduced well-received footage from the upcoming film.
From Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions, the Aug. 11 release is based on the story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.
Cast members David Harbour and Orlando Bloom were on hand to help present the high-octane footage.
Reading a clunky line from his script, Harbour got a big laugh as he responded, “The Writer’s Strike. I love Chat Gpt.”
Bloom noted that he plays Danny, the market lead at Nissan who convinces PlayStation to run the Gran Turismo challenge at the heart of the movie, revealing “how being good at...

‘Gran Turismo’ Dp Details How He Filmed “Aggressive” Racing Scenes: “We Wanted To Make It Look Real”
Cinematographer Jacques Jouffret aimed to give audiences the thrill of auto racing in Gran Turismo, Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming feature adaptation of the best-selling racing video game. “They’re going to see a race car like they’ve never seen it before,” he asserted during a presentation hosted by Sony at the 2023 Nab Show in Las Vegas.
From Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions, the Aug. 11 release is based on the story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver. “This is the true story of this young man. Some very tragic and happy experiences happened to him. Neil really wanted to recreate those moments,” says Jouffret.
The Dp describes the look as a sort of stylized documentary. “We wanted to make it look real, you don’t want it to feel like it’s a computer game,...

Joined by director Neil Blomkamp, Sony unspooled high-octane footage of race car driving in a sneak peek at Gran Turismo, Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions’ feature adaptation of the best-selling racing video game, on Wednesday during its CES press conference in Las Vegas.
Slated for an Aug. 11 theatrical release, Gran Turismo was lensed with Sony’s Venice 2 cameras using its Rialto extension system that effectively detaches the sensor from the camera. This allowed the filmmakers to put cameras in the very tight spaces inside the cars, just as the filmmakers on Top Gun: Maverick used this camera system to put these small camera devices inside fighter jets.
Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, the Columbia Pictures film is described by the studio as the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.

Spoiler alert: The following article discusses the entirety of “Never Have I Ever” Season 3.
“Never Have I Ever” Season 3 could have ended much, much differently.
As much as the show is grounded by its lovably irreverent protagonist Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), its junior season makes strides in maturity, displaying growth in both its central character as well as its ensemble cast. In one of the finale’s concluding scenes, the high schooler makes a tearful decision to stay at Sherman Oaks High because she’s not ready to leave her mother — with whom she’s continually grieved the loss of her father, Mohan — for the progressive and posh Colorado Ivy-prep school to which she’s been invited for her senior year.
“We actually pitched out an intro to Season 4 that was her going, like we had her just leaving at the end of Season 3,” showrunner, executive producer and co-creator Lang Fisher told TheWrap.

When we first met Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) in the first season of "Never Have I Ever," she was so bad at processing her emotions that she threw herself in the path of messy teen romance, made terrible life decisions, and basically blew up her life by alienating all of her loved ones. One coyote attack and two boyfriends later, Devi still isn't the best decision-maker in the world, but she's certainly grown up. And somehow in the chaos of it all, she managed to capture the hearts of two different boys: popular swimmer Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Barnett) and her longtime frenemy Ben...
