Composer for the motion picture "Snake & Mongoose", scheduled to be in
theaters, September 6th, 2013, the story of Don Prudhomme and Tom
McEwen and how they became legendary figures of drag racing. The style
of the score is "cars & guitars", with the music crossing over into
orchestral and country for specific moments.
Since graduating from USC with a major in music (studio guitar), Gary Barlough has been an integral member as music producer, engineer, writer, synthesist, or guitarist for many ground-breaking and award winning CDs and motion pictures. He started out programming synthesizers, sampling and sequencing with bands and artists such as Pink Floyd, Yes, Berlin, and The Yellow Jackets.
Gary was the Co-Producer and Engineer of the Golden Globe Winning Score for Oliver Stone's "Heaven & Earth", and received a Grammy award as the principal engineer for Kitaro's Grammy winning CD, "Thinking of You" . He designed sampled drum sounds for Pink Floyd's "Momentary Lapse of Reason" CD, and specialty sounds for the film "Vanilla Sky".
