The Price Is Right at Night will feature unique prizes and contestants, including one who surprised the host.
In addition to the daytime episodes, Drew Carey hosts the popular game show’s upcoming primetime version, and sneak peeks revealed several contestants.
The night episodes also feature kids participating in the show, referred to as Superfan, Jr. contestants.
Once Drew meets a Superfan, Jr. contestant on stage, he typically asks them what makes them a “Superfan” of the show.
In one instance, a boy indicated that the show helps bring his family together, as they record the daytime episodes and watch them each evening.
Another contestant really seemed to catch Drew off guard, with the host even suggesting the show was “in trouble.”

Omg, it's finally happened.
Adam Sandler fans are getting a Happy Gilmore 2, nearly 30 years in the making.
The sequel of the 1996 hit comedy is a dual project between Netflix and Happy Madison Productions, Sandler's company.
Sandler hooked a generation of viewers with his crass, blue-collar character infiltrating one of the most white-collar sports.
With his anger management issues and working-class mannerisms, we felt like he was one of us. And we couldn't help but root for him to win.
Happy Gilmore couldn't cut it as a hockey player, but it turned out he was hellah good at golf -- with a custom hockey stick golf club.
And fans loved him, turning golf into a spectator sport that drew all the wrong crowds.
At least, that's how Shooter McGavin -- played by Christopher McDonald -- felt. He tried so hard to earn that gold jacket, only to lose it to a scuzzy amateur golfer wannabe.

If being hilarious is a crime, then, Adam Sandler would be the guiltiest man alive. The actor is just one of those rare comedic talents giving back-to-back hits, which make the audience laugh their heads off. Throughout his stellar acting career, Sandler has done a ton of films, but his most popular film would be Happy Gilmore.

Despite the low score on the Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is considered to be one of the best films of the actor’s career. To make things more interesting, Netflix has announced a sequel to the 1996 film. A Happy Gilmore sequel has been greenlit at Netflix, with Adam Sandler returning to star. More details here.
Back in March, there were reports that a sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 golf comedy Happy Gilmore had been written, and actor Christopher McDonald had read it. Given the popularity of the film, it seemed to be a question not of if, but when.
We now have the answer, as the sequel has officially been greenlit by Netflix.
The original film, directed by regular collaborator Denis Dugan and written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, followed Sandler as the titular character, an aspiring ice hockey player who enters a high-profile golfing tournament to earn money to buy his grandmother’s house.
Though his angry outbursts and profane patter initially cause outrage, his skill and tenacity eventually win through in the end. Featuring memorable supporting turns from the much missed Carl Weathers, the imposing...

A sequel to Happy Gilmore is officially coming to Netflix.
The streamer officially announced Happy Gilmore 2 with Adam Sandler returning in the starring role during its upfront presentation to advertisers on Wednesday.
Released in 1996, Happy Gilmore starred Sandler as a failed hockey player with a power slapshot and massive temper who tries his hand at golf. Nearly three decades later, it remains one of Sandler’s most beloved comic ventures.
Sandler previously expressed interest in making a Happy Gilmore sequel in a 2021. At the time, he floated the possibility of centering the film around a senior golf tournament, but cautioned that nothing had been written.
However, earlier this year, Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the original film, let it slip that Sandler was working on a draft for Happy Gilmore 2. Sandler’s longtime friend and collaborator Drew Barrymore subsequently confirmed (via Sandler himself) that the project was “in process.

The Disney-acquired Star Wars live-action lore is unarguably really trying to tighten its grip around the fandom. However, that doesn’t seem to be working, considering fans’ reaction to its latest and upcoming series, with very few series and fans as an exception. Even The Acolyte, which is the next series lined up for release this year from the saga, is ceasing to amuse fans.
The Acolyte.
This stands true because, even before its final release, this soon-to-hit-streaming series has gained massive criticism from fans because of all the changes it will be bringing to the previously massively fan-favorite lore. What’s worse is that this criticism doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon, considering how Jimmy Kimmel recently added even more misery to this project with his roasting.

A date has been set for longtime “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak’s final show. TheWrap has confirmed that it will air on Friday, June 7, which will be the Season 41 finale.
Sajak has hosted some version of the syndicated game show since 1981; the show itself launched in 1975, but he took over the daytime version in 1981 and has hosted the nighttime version since 1983. He taped his final episode hosting on Friday. He announced in June 2023 that he was planning to step down as host.
“Well, the time has come,” Sajak wrote in a statement posted to X (formerly Twitter) when first breaking the news: “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”

Pat Sajak’s final run on Wheel of Fortune is quickly coming to a close. After more than four decades as host of the iconic game show, Sajak’s final episode will air on Friday, June 7, Deadline has confirmed.
Sajak’s farewell episode, which tapes today, will serve as Wheel‘s Season 41 finale.
Sajak announced in June 2023 that he was ready to retire as host from the syndicated game show, and Season 41 would be his last. He agreed to stay on as a consultant on the show for three years following his final year hosting, said Suzanne Prete, EVP Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television, when Sajak announced his retirement.
Sajak and longtime colleague Vanna White signed contract extensions in 2021 that take them through the current season. He has hosted Wheel of Fortune since 1981 and has won three Emmys for his work, not counting the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award he received from the TV Academy.

Update: It looks like Christopher McDonald was right about Adam Sandler working on the script for Happy Gilmore. Sandler’s fave co-star and longtime pal Drew Barrymore confirmed, in a clip from today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, that the sequel is indeed happening. “I want it. I need it. And I stayed up last night with my daughter watching Billy Madison,” says Barrymore, adding later, “I’ll just say this, from my source, that it is in process.”
Barrymore famously starred with Sandler in three movies, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. The two have remained close over the years, with Sandman frequently turning up on her show. While he’s mostly focused on drama recently, including the recent Netflix film Spaceman, Happy Gilmore 2 would likely be warmly received by fans, especially if co-stars Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen return.

Chuck Norris is known for his roundhouse kicks and his action star persona in the ‘80s and the ‘90s. He starred in films such as Good Guys Wear Black, Breaker! Breaker!, and The Octagon. Though he did not reach the level of other action stars of the era such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, he still held his ground. The actor was known for being proficient in martial arts and was also known to have trained many celebrities in martial arts before he became an actor.
Norris made his big screen debut with Bruce Lee’s The Way of The Dragon. The action star has a minor role as Colt, who is recruited by the antagonist to fight against Lee’s Tang Lung. Norris and Lee reportedly developed a friendship when they met at the All-American-Karate Championship tournament, where the Silent Rage star was a two-time world champion.

Happy Gilmore star Christopher McDonald said he’s seen a script for a sequel to Adam Sandler’s popular golf comedy. Brace yourselves for Happy Gilmore 2…
Of all the comedy films Adam Sandler made in the 1990s, few are as beloved as Happy Gimore. Directed by regular collaborator Denis Dugan and written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, the film followed Sandler as the titular character, an aspiring ice hockey player who enters a high-profile golfing tournament to earn money to buy his grandmother’s house. Though his angry outbursts and profane patter initially cause outrage, his skill and tenacity eventually win through in the end.
Featuring memorable supporting turns from the much missed Carl Weathers, the imposing Richard Kiel, also known as Jaws from the James Bond films The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, and a violent clash with genial game show host Bob Barker, the film also saw...

The Price Is Right fans said goodbye to host Bob Barker last year, but the show continues with Drew Carey taking over his duties. It has recently been revealed the show does have behind the scenes protocols they must follow. Recently, a former producer from the show revealed one protocol that is a little surprising. It shows that behind the scenes, the administration team takes things very seriously despite all the fun everyone has on the set.
Safety Is Important On The Price Is Right
Drew Carey, the current host of the game show once had to have a contestant’s wife come on stage to help out because he had dislocated his shoulder. How did that happen? Big prizes mean lots of excitement and sometimes huge celebrations. As a contestant was yelling with joy at winning a trip to Hawaii, he discolated his shoulder. So, his wife took over...

Fellow '90s kids, this one's for us. Take one of our greatest comedic stars at the height of his powers, add a little golf (by way of hockey), and sprinkle in one unforgettable cameo by the legendary Bob Barker, and you get a beloved comedy classic in "Happy Gilmore." It may have taken the better part of 30 years, but all signs are pointing to a long-overdue sequel after years and years of rumors over whether "Happy Gilmore 2" would ever actually happen.
The potentially headline-grabbing news, reported with a healthy dose of caveats, comes courtesy of Deadline ... and from a somewhat unlikely source. Rather than getting the news straight from either the studio or Sandler himself, actor Christopher McDonald (who played the awfully unlikable yet aptly named pro golfer Shooter McGavin) revealed the new development while participating in a radio interview on Audacy's 92.3 The Fan. A sequel to classic 1996 Adam Sandler comedy Happy Gilmore may be in the making, as a first draft of the script has been written, according to actor Christopher McDonald, a cast member of the original film.
“I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, ‘McDonald, you’re gonna love this,'” the actor shared in an interview on Audacy’s 92.3 The Fan. “I said, ‘What?’ He says, ‘How about that?’ and he shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2.”
McDonald suggested that his comments should perhaps be “cut” from the interview, “because I don’t want to be a liar.” Still, he said, “he did show me that [script], and I thought, ‘Well, that would be awesome.’ So, it’s in the works. Fans demand it, dammit!”

Actor and comedian Drew Carey went on an impressive journey to improve his health, which included losing 1,000 pounds over the years.
The Price is Right host recently revealed that he used to live an unhealthy and unhappy life following his appearances on the popular game show.
“I would go out to Swingers diner after The Price Is Right my first year, get a plate of pasta, a cupcake and iced tea with a bunch of lemons,” Carey shared in an upcoming People magazine story.
It didn’t stop there, though, as he also revealed he would “have Doritos and several Pepsis, and take an Ambien to go to sleep” at home.
Carey told the publication, “It was miserable” to live in that manner.
However, the 65-year-old show host began to take his health seriously, even reversing his Type 2 diabetes diagnosis.

The In Memoriam segment of the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday paid a moving tribute to several television stars, creators and producers who have died over the last year — but social media was quick to point out the omissions.
Users on X, formerly Twitter, were upset that missing from the video montage of the In Memoriam segment were Ryan O’Neal and Ray Stevenson. O’Neal, who died Dec. 8 at age 82, had television credits stretching back to the 1960s, and he had notable roles on the soap Peyton Place and the sitcom Good Sports and also had a run on Bones.
Stevenson, who died May 23 at age 58, was most recently seen in the Disney+ Star Wars series Ahsoka, and worked consistently in television since the 1990s. His notable television credits include Vikings, Dexter and Rome.

Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers took the stage at the 2023 Emmys to pay tribute to their former colleague Norman Lear, in addition to other notable television figures who passed away since the previous ceremony.
Charlie Puth and The War and Treaty — comprised of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter — performed the former’s hit 2015 song “See You Again” for the In Memoriam segment. If you’re wondering about the ungainly title of the new comedy film premiering on Peacock, then you’re probably not a sketch comedy aficionado or regular Saturday Night Live viewer. The first part of Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain refers to the comedy group consisting of 20-somethings Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy, whose absurdist videos have been a regular feature on SNL for the past couple of years. The second part of the title calls to mind the sort of old-fashioned adventure movies geared toward kids that have inspired this ramshackle spoof reminding you that sketch comedy is best appreciated in small doses. For proof, look no further than such misfires as Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy, It’s Pat, MacGruber and, well, you get the idea.
