A debate has been sparked about who should be allowed into performance spaces after an American comic interrupted his set at the Melbourne Comedy Festival to ask a mother to leave the venue, as her baby’s gurgling during breastfeeding had disrupted the show.
A walkout from several attendees followed the awkward moment on April 20 at Melbourne’s Athenaeum theater when American comic Arj Barker stopped mid-set during his performance of The Mind Field show to ask mother Trish Faranda to leave the venue with her 7-month-old daughter; the baby’s fussiness during the performance led the mother atempting to soothe her with a breastfeeding, as she told Australian radio station 3Aw.
“She wasn’t screaming,” explained Faranda, who says she sat at the end of the row in case a quick exit was necessary. “She was just being a baby, she gurgled a little bit, she had a bit of a whinge … nothing loud.

Animal Music Review Out! (Picture Credit: T-Series/Youtube)
Animal Music Review Rating: 4/5 (Four stars!)
Music Director(s): Pritam, Harshavardhan Rameshwar, JAM8, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Vishal Mishra, Ashim Kemson
User Rating:
With Kabir Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga set a musical standard that few can. Forget Hindi filmmakers; imagine a director coming from down South bringing a project that would be remembered not only for its treatment but the music as well. It is an achievement I feel only Srv has achieved to date. Has he repeated the same with Animal’s songs? Let’s analyze!
Animal Music Review – Hua Main

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features Fourteen matches, though we also get some of Aew’s bigger stars on the show, which makes up for the ridiculous amount of matches Imho. Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Action Andretti def. Tony Deppen
My Thoughts: Action Andretti continues his winning streak in this opening match, though why Deppen was allowed to get as much offence as he did – especially against the guy that beat Chris Jericho in his debut. Still, a great start to this week’s Dark.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Evil Uno def. J. Spade
My Thoughts: Evil Uno’s turning to the dark side continues… I sincerely hope this new vicious streak continues and we get a stronger, more dominant Dark Order too. Shame the audience wasn’t into this one though.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #3: Parker Boudreaux def.

Noida, Oct 16 (Ians) The spread of mosquito-borne diseases starts alongside the festive season around Diwali. Dengue cases have been rising in recent years and many families in Noida and Ghaziabad have lost their loved ones to this disease.
Even after facing the onslaught of dengue every year, the administration and the health department of both the districts do not seem to be paying any heed. On paper, in both the areas, there is a fierce fight against dengue with the government taking steps like anti-larvae spraying, fogging, cleaning the parks, drains and roads.
If fogging and anti-larvae spraying is done even once a month in their neighbourhood, the citizens consider themselves lucky. So far, 300 dengue cases have been reported in Ghaziabad and 50 in Noida.
The anti-malaria department issued a notice to the primary health centres (Phc) in-charges of Ghaziabad after the larvae of dengue mosquitoes were found in 20 PHCs during a recently conducted survey.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which, after the incredibly short Elevation, is a whopping 11-match card! Let’s just say I prefer the shorter shows… So on with the review!
Match #1: Fuego Del Sol def. Jay Malachi
My Thoughts: After what seems like spending ages working the indies, Aew’s Fuego Del Sol is back on the company’s programming! In a match that was actually one of Fuego’s best for the company – with no overuse of gimmicks, just two guys going at it in a great wrestling match.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Leila Gray def. Tiara James
My Thoughts: If ever there was an example of the typical Aew quasi-squash match, this was it. And that was all this was Tbh.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Jeeves Kay def. Gus De La Vega
My Thoughts: The Trustbusters valet gets a match. And...

Imphal, Aug 18 (Ians) Neroca Fc produced an excellent performance to beat Trau Fc 3-1 in the ‘Imphal Derby’ in the Durand Cup 2022 at the Khuman Lampak stadium, here on Thursday.
Tangva Ragui put the Orange brigade ahead as early as the 16th minute, only for Komron Tursunov to equalise three minutes later. Thomyo then headed in to put Neroca ahead again, before Nigerian John Chidi took advantage of a defensive error to score the insurance goal, in the 50th minute of the second half.
This was the first game in Group C and more importantly, the first-ever Durand Cup football match in the state of Manipur.
Derby nerves were clear from end to end as well as tough football was on display right from the starting whistle with both sides not willing to give an inch. Trau in fact had the first real chance as the Neroca defence was caught...

In my early days on the beat, NBC had an ad campaign encouraging people to watch summer reruns, promising, "If you haven't seen it, it's new to you!" In the age of Peak TV, that slogan seems less cynical than accurate. The rise of streaming services has put the bulk of TV history only a click or two away, which means that people are constantly discovering The Wire, or Arrested Development, or Terriers (sigh) for the very first time. In lieu of a summer rewind this year, I wanted to offer up primers of shows you can stream, whether an older series available in full(*) or something current you can catch up on before its next season begins. So far, I've done a pair of current shows in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Halt and Catch Fire, plus a completed show in United States of Tara. (*) Note: with these picks, I'm trying...

Comedian Jasper Redd is an intriguing mass of contradictions. If he had his druthers, his entire routine would be all about race, but he counts Jerry Seinfeld's trivial observations as a major influence. Even though he's often dressed up in Western attire to celebrate his Tennessee heritage, he's as savvy about the vagaries of Hollywood as any longtime Los Angeleno. And even though he's being doing comedy for almost a decade professionally, he admits that it's only recently that he's felt confident about being a stand-up.
We were lucky enough to see Redd for the first time a few years ago when he performed in Los Angeles to commemorate the release of "Frankenhood," a straight-to-dvd movie that was his first - and as of today, last - acting job. Since then, he's been traveling across the country to various venues, including college campuses, and bringing with him a comedic...

I'd been hearing positive things about Flight of the Conchords for some time before I got the chance to see an episode in its entirety. The snippets of the first season that I'd caught on television hadn't made much sense. After a day on the couch with the stomach flu and the first three episodes of Season Two, though, I was hooked.
This part-sitcom, part musical series is one of the most original comedy shows on television. Rarely crude, sometimes bizarre and always quirky, it is a treat for anyone open to HBO's liberal censorship standards and something different. Although the two seasons of the show that aired on HBO have been available on DVD for some time, HBO Home Entertainment recently released a box set of the The Complete Collection, making this the ideal time to hop on board if you haven't taken flight with the Conchords already.

It’s rare to find a young comedian with a solid act. Often they have one or two inspired observations couched in 80 minutes of material a better comic would have left crumpled up by the trashcan. Arj Barker’s Lyao doesn’t suffer from this affliction, avoiding it almost entirely. Instead we get a solid set that registers well with the concert hall and at-home audiences alike.
Many young up-and-comers seek solace in the easily attained dirty comedy. Heck, even the best comedians are wont to wander this territory every now and again. Some walk in and never come back out; they set up permanent shop in the slinging of sleazy one-liners, and for folks like Rodney Dangerfield it works wonders. Conversely, others choose the “Christian Rock” comedy route, they aspire to bland, edge-less comedy they know conservative audiences will devour simply because it manages to deliver a stand-up routine...

Three more pilots hit the runway Tuesday.
Fox picked up "Nevermind Nirvana," a comedy from writer Ajay Sahgal; CBS greenlighted "The Odds," a drama from feature writer-director Jeff Wadlow and producer Joel Silver; and ABC ordered "Happy Endings," a comedy from producer Jamie Tarses.
"Nevermind Nirvana," from 20th TV, is described as "Everybody Loves Raymond" with Indian Americans.
It is an ensemble multicamera comedy about two grown-up sons, their Indian immigrant parents and their friends, including one of the son's Caucasian girlfriend.
"It's about how their lives intersect in often polarizing ways and about the clash of the old Indian values and the new American values," Sahgal said.
"Nirvana" is largely based on real-life experiences by Sahgal, who is the son of Indian immigrants and is married to "Lie to Me" co-star Kelli Williams.
He first developed "Nirvana" for NBC and NBC Studios during the 2003-04 season under Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly,...

To no real surprise, Flight of the Conchords has been grounded. But, unlike most other TV series, the cancellation wasn't the network's idea.
Flight of the Conchords is a unique comedy and music series that follows a two-person novelty band from New Zealand. It stars Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement as fictionalized versions of themselves, as well as Rhys Darby, Kristen Schaal, and Arj Barker.
The series debuted in June of 2007 and ran for 12 episodes on HBO. Conchords was renewed for a second season in August 2007 and was expected to begin airing in 2008. Production was delayed until September 2008, in part because of the writers strike. So, season two episodes weren't broadcast until January 2009.
Clement and McKenzie were interviewed back in August 2008 and indicated that season two would probably be the end. McKenzie commented,...

Chicago – Two of HBO’s most acclaimed and beloved programs of the last year just hit DVD and both packages are worth the pick-up for anyone who considers themselves a serious collector of TV on DVD - “Flight of the Conchords: Season Two” and “Grey Gardens”. Both were nominated for multiple Emmys, standing among the best television of 2008 and 2009.
DVD Rating: 4.0/5.0 Let’s start with the comedy. The second-and-superior season of “Flight of the Conchords” continues the adventures of Emmy-nominated Jemaine Clement and his partner Bret McKenzie as the New Zealand’s “4th Most Popular Folk Parody Duo” trying to make it big in the States.
Flight of the Conchords: Season Two was released on DVD on August 4th, 2009.

The second season of Flight of the Conchords has soared to DVD. The half-hour HBO comedy, starring Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie as Jemaine Clemaine and Bret McKlegnie, ended season two in March, and finally was released on DVD yesterday, much to my excitement.
The cover art, as pictured right, features the band, instruments in hand, in flight, a pun on their name. In an interesting twist, though, the duo only appear on the plastic slipcover — the actual DVD case is only the background, with the title and the catchphrase "Born to folk."
The inside of the case, however, is what's important. I'm talking about the two DVDs, which contain all ten episodes of the show, plus features. The episodes are unevenly distributed between the discs; the first disc holds six episodes, while the second only holds four. The difference is made up by special features on the second disc.

New York -- It's not your father's comedy business anymore.
Production and management firm Generate is taking more control of comedy content in the digital age and pushing it across various platforms with the launch of Degenerate, a label co-branded with distribution partner Warner Bros. Records.
It is developing content from established and up-and-coming comedians, including ones represented by Generate's talent division, and distributing it across platforms in the form of TV specials, DVDs, CDs and digital offerings. Touring blitzes by featured talent also are part of the equation.
The template for the label is the successful Blue Collar Comedy brand, which also is distributed by Warner Bros. Records. Degenerate will feature more metropolitan comedy though.
To ensure more control over the production -- handled by Generate Studios and its recently promoted head of production Michael Petok -- and licensing of content, Generate funds the production of one-hour comedy...
