Eddie Murphy is ready to have the last laugh as police lieutenant Axel Foley in the teaser trailer for Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
Hitting the streamer in the summer of 2024, the new movie from director Mark Molloy revives the action-comedy franchise three decades after the previous installment. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F stars Murphy as Detroit native Foley, who returns to Beverly Hills after the life of his daughter (Taylour Paige) is threatened.
The film sees Foley teaming with a new partner — played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt — while investigating a possible conspiracy and spending time with familiar faces including Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold), John Taggart (John Ashton), Jeffrey Friedman (Paul Reiser) and Serge (Bronson Pinchot). Kevin Bacon is also part of the action as Captain Grant.
“Watch your ass out there, Ok?” Reiser warns Murphy, who responds, “I’m gonna be fine. They love me in Beverly Hills.

Eddie Murphy is reuniting with his original “Beverly Hills Cop” co-stars — Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot — for the upcoming sequel, “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.”
Netflix picked up the rights in 2019 to release the next “Beverly Hills Cop” movie, which is currently in production.
“Axel Foley” is the fourth installment in the hit action-comedy franchise, following 1984’s “Beverly Hills Cop,” 1987’s “Beverly Hills Cop II” and 1994’s “Beverly Hills Cop III.” For the fourquel, producers opted to ditch the roman numerals and instead name the film after Murphy’s fish-out-of-water character, a Detroit police officer who travels to Los Angeles to investigate crimes.
Plot details for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” have been kept under wraps. Presumably, the story involves Axel Foley is returning to the 90210 to crack a new case.

Vince Vaughn plays a chronic sperm donor whose progeny come back to haunt him in this American remake of 2011's Starbuck.
Warmth and fuzziness abounds in Delivery Man, a feel-good yarn about a lovable loser of a meat delivery truck whose old side gig as a fertility clinic donor has resulted in his being the dad of hundreds of biological children, of whom 142 have filed a lawsuit to reveal his identity.
An extremely faithful re-telling of Starbuck, a popular 2011 French-Canadian comedy directed and co-written by Ken Scott (who duplicates his services here), the fictional film politely abstains from tapping the storyline’s ripe, satirical potential in favor of a softer-around-the-edges approach.
Thanks to some potent performances, led by Vince Vaughn in a decidedly change-of-pace, reflective turn, this Disney release proves lightly entertaining in spite of its more heartfelt tendencies.
It should perform modestly with the older-skewing audiences who won’t...

I love, love, love David Tennant! The erstwhile Dr. Who rides his Tardis and appears in his first major Hollywood role in .Fright Night. (yes, he appeared in .Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. but it wasn.t a big role compared to .Fright Night.).
In the movie, Tennant takes over the Peter Vincent role that Roddy McDowall made famous in the original 1985 .Fright Night.. This time though, he.s not a late-night TV monster host but a magician wearing guyliner in the vein of Criss Angel.
It was an honor to talk to the Scottish actor even though it was just a satellite interview live from London. We talked about:
*** What attracted him to working on .Fright Night.
*** How he researched the role
*** Was he a fan of the original film?
*** Working with Colin Farrell
*** The enduring allure of vampires in pop-culture
Here you go, and have fun!

We've seen one image from the Craig Gillespie-directed 3D remake of the '80s horror classic Fright Night, but the three images below are the first real look we've had at the upcoming film. The movie tells the story of a suburban kid (Anton Yelchin) who, amid dealing with a new girlfriend (Imogen Poots) and estrangement from his old best friend (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) discovers that his neighborhood is now home to a vampire (Colin Farrell). Check out the stills below. I know that Colin Farrell gets a lot more monstrous-looking than what you see below. I've seen the actual makeup appliances, and they were pretty great. (And created by FX vet Howard Berger.) In fact, this shot is from the tail end of the scene where the vampire really reveals himself for the first time. He's described as looking like a shark in part of the script for the scene,...

Craig Gillespie’s Fright Night, the remake we already had a little chat about, and that’s exactly how you know that the movie stars Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, David Tennant and Imogen Poot.
Today, we’re here to update our previous reports, because guys from DreamWorks have finally shared some official synopsis with us! Make sure you check it out:
“Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend.
But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice.
